Went to this branch on Saturday, and I was absolutely appalled at the service and hygiene. Not one of the staff members were wearing gloves while working with the food. They were all strolling around slowly. Me and my friend ordered at the same time. After waiting 15min I finally got my food, but ended up waiting another 15min for my friends food. With people who ordered after us receiving their food. When we asked for assistance the staff ignored us and rolled their eyes at us. When we finally got both orders we were still waiting for 2 Milkshakes which we then decided would take even longer as there were only two people packing orders and making drinks on a busy Saturday evening and my food was already cold. We then asked the manager Philswa for a refund, but she also just ignored us and the other staff members. She ended up not even knowing how to do a refund and had to ask someone else for assistance. We had to eat cold food due to the staff not being trained properly on how to time manage and the store clearly being understaffed. Read moreToday I found a beautiful white curly strand of hair in my mcflurry. I took a bite nearing the end of my mcflurry experience hoping to enjoy the last few bites i had left. SURPRISED i found this hair. I took the hair in one hand and the cup in the other, i then gave it to the women working behind the counter. She took the hair from me and came back saying “IT’S EMPTY, YOU ATE IT!” i reply “yes, i found the hair at the end, it was in my mouth.” She then walked away for a moment and came back again saying “ IT’S EMPTY, YOU ATE IT” to which i replied “okay fine leave it then” and walked away from this terrible service. I would like to know if there is a rule: “you have to find the hair before you start eating” I would also have preferred to find the hair before i almost ate the whole thing, but i did find it nearing the end. I don’t appreciate this women over exaggerated saying it was empty when there was just about like 4 more bites left and then refusing to give me any type of refund or replacing it with a hairless mcflurry. Very bad service from the McCafe section in the McDonalds in Tygervalley.
A request was made for coffee and to drink it at the branch.
The Front-of-House staff member just refused to make coffee in any McDonald's cup. Her response to any request was 'take-away cup' and couldn't give any reason as to why she didn't want to make it in a cup.
Her approach was very unfriendly and unwelcoming at the branch. She also took off her badge and her colleague who worked at the McDonald's counter also refused to give her name.
The Manager on-duty also couldn't resolve the issue and it appeared as it the Manager didn't have any issue with the unfriendly approach of the staff member from McCafe.
By far, one of the worst experiences at McDonald's...and just because of a coffee. Really glad that I didn't order food.
