The Daily Coffee Café - Willowbridge Village — Restaurant in Bellville

The coffee was really good and looks like a nice place to sit down as well. I bought a takeaway but would definitely consider sitting down there sometime.

I would have scored 5 stars but when I ordered flat white, I was asked which size between regular and large I would like. I then asked: "what is the difference between the two?". The response: "Uhm, the one is small and the other is big". A smile with that response would have indicated light hearted humour, but a rather serious face is what I saw. Now I'd like to think that that response was more out of misunderstanding what info I was seeking, i.e. number of shots or is the shot/milk ratio the same between the two, instead of sarcasm. The fact that there is a visible difference in the size of the cups led me to believe that sarcasm was at play, but hopefully I am wrong. I chose not to respond in an offensive way, instead explaining the info I was seeking. Based on the response after the more detailed explanation of my question, the waitress explained the differences well, and that was what I thought would have been the first response required to my question.

It is kind of obvious that the regular cup is smaller than the large cup, no? I will definitely return to your store and hopefully I'll be met with less (assumed at this point) sarcasm next time. Or at least smile when being sarcastic in a humorous way. Usually I'd score lower based on the response but I did find it kind of funny too :-). Another customer might not find it so...

STOP!!! Ask me how amazing that burger was. Running around, finishing errands, you start thinking about lunch, like you do on a Sunday afternoon. Being indecisive, we thought to settle it over a cup of coffee. Don’t let the simple two-page menu fool you. We very quickly agreed that we aren’t making lunch today. Hot and cold drinks, any which way you can imagine. Extensive all-day breakfast options; all your favourites but with a twist, e.g. Potato Waffle Benedict or a Karoo Skottel. I’m usually the first one to decide but after asking both the server and the manager, I was still indecisive. The lady chose the Asian Chicken Wrap and I settled on the ‘safe’ option. Now I’m a simple man with simple tastes but let me tell, their Southern Fried Chicken Burger has been THE BEST burger I’ve had this year. I’d go so far as to say, I’m doubtful that I will find another burger this year made with so much care. I even told the chef as much (shame I don’t think he ever expected being called to the front of house). Full of flavour and yet still juicy and with the coleslaw, just the right amount of tangy. Is this what they call soul food? Who needs fancy Southern Suburb eateries when we have this calibre right in our own backyard? Quirky décor, excellent quality value for money food, with super friendly staff. You deserve...

We had some of the chocolate cake this afternoon. Good money wasted. The cake is old and dry. I trust that you will not sell it to customers tomorrow. Another thing. You have the privilege of many feet because of Checkers. This is the second time that I was told the kitchen is closed. The other day it was 15h50 and today is was almost 14h00. This is not on. Back to the cake. I think it was Baked out of a box. I can bake and actually wanted carrot cake. You did not have much to present today re cake. You are going to loose customers this way. This is my 2 cent. Next time I will go to Koffi Therapi or coffee shops in the mall. Two weeks ago when I came I wanted to sit down to recollect my thoughts and speak to friends on my phone.
