McDonald's Spin Street — Restaurant in City Centre

Was there yesterday, April 1st 2023 around 5 pm.... Sweet jeepers the amount of screw ups was impressive. Both big Mac and quaterpounders were.... Inadequate. Bun burnt on big Mac, sauce was prettymuch straight mayo, my girlfriend had the big mag, we both tasted it and it wasn't anything like the big mac burgers we've gotten from mac Donald's all over cape town. The quarter pounder had a strange sweet taste to the beef patty, same as the tomato ketchup which is normally slightly sweet like all gold or heinz, but not like this... Allover just strange taste except for the bun. The reason I mention this, is both myself and my girlfriend have had good poisoning since the McDonald's. I started vomitting about an hour and a half later, girlfriend the next day. Still can't hold any other foods or much liquid without throwing up. Reason I say there were so many screw ups was: 1. Could use their card machine so I had to run a street down to draw cash, waited for an iced coffee for 20 mins after my order (goodbye dearest milkshakes, melt in peace), threw away the iced coffee because the dude chucked it dead with hazelnut syrup which I normally love... But shoot, how much you need? I order the same hazelnut iced coffee 2 or 3 times a week, this was the first one I didn't want to drink past a few sips. Milkshakes were decent although a bit warmed from the wait for the elusive coffee guy. Lastly, order was still wrong, missing 1 of the 2 MC Donald's fries. Will let you know how the experience of blowing chunks out of both ends works out for me but so far a weak 1/5 and my bum sore from...

real bad service received at this branch, ordered a take away via the portals and I did not receive a receipt at all I brought it up with the lady who seems to be the manager, she then went through some receipts they had and gave me someone else's order I explained to her that, that was not my order and she got irritated with me and asked everything I ordered I told her what I ordered as I also have the app and used a few promo's I had available to use, yet I then received my food with no beverages, I was told to go to the other section to receive the beverages I then only got the 1 frapp that was ordered but did not receive the cooldrink. I told the lady I still need to get the cooldrink that comes with the x2cheeseburger meal promo. She went again through my receipt and said I did not order the meal but I received fries with my promo which does not make sense at all. I also showed her the promo on my app but she would still not give it, she then went to the portal and put in the same order I done and even though I told her I used my mac D's app she would still no give it. Really very poor...

I never receive good service from this McDonald's. Today staff was having a loud party between themselves in the kitchen which happens to be in full view of customers. Waited for my order which included a large fries. Lady who brought out my order gave me a look like she was doing me a favour, then went back to the festivities in the kitchen all happy. When I got back to the office and opened my bag, the chips was a size small in a large size box. Wouldn't have minded the private party if employees were partying and doing their job properly, but this is clearly not the case. It has happened in the past where my order is missing items from this branch as well as been given dirty looks by employees just for simply waiting for my order. Staff in this branch are absolutely miserable. From the looks of previous reviews, bad reviews are not taken seriously because the attitude of this branch has not changed one bit. It must be nice being a big corporation and relying on their brand awareness to take people's money...
