manager's attitude and lack of professionalism:
On the evening of January 25th, 2025, my family of three visited your John Doryās restaurant at the Mimosa Shopping Centre in Bloemfontein, and we had an extremely disappointing experience.
After ordering our drinks and food, we waited for about 20 to 25 minutes with no sign of our order. Meanwhile, the table next to us, who had ordered after us, was already enjoying their drinks. I spoke to the manager, Bernice, about the delay, but instead of offering an apology or explanation, she simply instructed the waitress to return to our table and serve us. She did not offer any apology or take any responsibility, and after giving the waitress the instruction, she walked away without acknowledging the situation further.
When the waitress finally spoke to us, she explained that she had taken an order for her colleagues and was off shift, but she did eventually bring our drinks and food. However, after we finished our meal and were ready to leave, neither the manager nor any staff member came to check on us or assist with the bill. We had to stand in front of the cashier to settle the payment ourselves. When I asked the waitress handling the payment to speak to Bernice, the manager completely ignored us and walked past without any acknowledgment.
The attitude displayed by Bernice, the manager, was very unprofessional and left us feeling neglected and disrespected. Her lack of responsibility and failure to address the situation properly was extremely disappointing. It was unclear whether this treatment was a result of her personal bias or just poor customer service, but either way, it left us with a very negative impression of your restaurant.

We were seated rudely with the waitress nonstop talking about laws of smoking areas and smoking, we only asked of they had a smoking area but they do not, so we decided to have a good time in anyways. We waited about twenty minutes and no one came to offer drinks, so we left telling the joking waitress and her fun colleagues thank you for the great service, she even replied with a big smile saying it was a big pleasure, and as i told them they did not even serve us!
