Shift Espresso Bar | Kloof Street — Restaurant in Gardens

The best coffee we’ve had in Cape Town and the best Shift location (We’ve tried nearly all of them.) Spent 3 weeks dropping in almost daily for our morning cappuccino, the breakfast roll or another tasty choice and the coffee is expertly made with the right care and is consistently excellent. The breakfast roll other than being delicious, is an excellent value. More important than all of this is the committed management, skilled baristas and the entire team at Shift Kloof Street who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and anticipate your need. The Shift Espresso Bar in Kloof Street hosts a truly amazing experience whether you’re meeting a colleague, coming in for a quick coffee, or staying for a meal. The atmosphere is friendly, warm and inviting allowing the casual visitor as well as the remote workers to enjoy their visit in peace. The service is also great! We were met with friendly faces and even though they are not yet 100% loadshedding-proof they went above and beyond to accommodate our orders. We had The Club - a bagel sandwich which was sublime and very well presented - I recommend having this if you’re ever around and in the mood for a quick lunch.
