I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received at your establishment on November 29th, 2024.
Upon arriving to place an order, I was disappointed to experience what seemed to be a lack of attention from your staff. Despite the restaurant being busy, my partner and I were left standing without assistance for an extended period of time. However, we noticed that as soon as other customers of a different skin tone arrived, two staff members promptly attended to them. This was incredibly disheartening and raised serious concerns about the way we were treated.
As paying customers, we expect to be treated with respect and fairness, yet on this occasion, it felt as though we were deliberately ignored. While I understand that businesses can get busy, the fact that other customers were consistently attended to while we were left waiting is inexcusable.
To make matters worse, after eventually placing our takeaway order, we were told to sit and wait. No one made an effort to inform us when our food was ready, and it was only when we approached the counter to inquire about the status of our order that we were told it had been ready for some time. This lack of communication and disregard for our presence is unacceptable.
I have never felt so marginalized or disrespected in a customer service setting, and I am truly appalled by the treatment I received. I urge you to address this issue, as it reflects poorly on your business and its commitment to providing fair and courteous service to all customers, regardless of...
Read moreAdega makes one of the best quarter chicken meals in the country, comparable to Nandos (dare I say better?) and Calistos.
The price hasnât increased much over the years and the quality and quantity seems to have remained consistent. The sauce that the chicken is basted in is phenomenally tasty and the sauces they sell cannot replicate the taste (believe me, I have tried), unlike Nandos where it is easy to recreate the taste.
They make a good chai latte as well.
I used to love the chicken pasta but recently there hasnât been much chicken in it and the sauce feels watered down.
The last time I bought a pizza there was too much cheese, which I didnât think could be a problem, but I actually felt as if I was choking.
They charge a 10% service fee if you sit inside. There is the option of sitting in the food court if preferred. I just wish the inside was a bit better in terms of cleanliness (the floor is generally dirty when they are busy, to a point where it is sticky and has food on it) and the seating just doesnât feel comfortable and is also not very spacious.
When it is quiet Iâll happily sit inside, but when it is busy, sitting in the actual food court can feel more...
Read moreMy partner and I had lunch here. The food was awful ! Prawn pasta had no flavor and the sauce was runny . Could barely even find any prawns and the sauce. I recall having the very same pasta in Durban and it was so well infused with prawn and garlic flavor with a hint of chili . This was just a recipe for disaster . I ordered a combo and the plating was so poor ! The sauce on the steak tasted like it was made from an instant powder and it has all over the plate running into the veggies and the side of prawns . The chicken livers I ordered was well done but it was over powered by the excessive white sauce and all you could taste was cream . Absolutely no flavor ! Iâm not sure who these people cater for but donât waste your money on such mediocre food ! Plenty of better places to eat on sandton city . I went to Adega express because I thought it would be the same quality as the one in Durban ... so...
