Steers Sandton City — Restaurant in Gauteng

I went there looking for plain ice cream in a cup( classic ice cream swirl ), which was R19.90 , and he proceeded to charge me 24.90 for a caramel dip swirl .

Now because of the screen facing me when I buy at the counter , I could see everything he was doing on his computer. I am not sure if he couldn’t find the option for the classic swirl, because he charged me for the caramel dip swirl, He then deleted the error, and he looked for the classic swirl option, but seeing that he can’t find the option , he pressed the caramel dip swirl option and charged me R24.90 . when I realised he was trying to charge me more , I kept quiet to see if he would explain to me his problem, or swindle me my money because he cannot find the option for the classic swirl . He then proceeded to charge me R24.90 for the caramel dip swirl, and he gave me a classic ice cream swirl . When he gave me my order , he insisted I give him the slip first (he assumes that I didn’t see the slip that he charged me for a completely different item) so that he can give me my order. He took the slip also because I can have no evidence that he sold me something wrong and overcharged me ! But what he didn’t realise is that I was already aware of what he was doing ! I took my ice cream and left. But I am here to say how disgusted I am , for what he did . I am starting to wonder how many customers has he done this to ! This is seriously upsetting and not tolerable at all! I wanted to speak to the manager after he swindled me but I was in a hurry to leave. I had the pleasure of being served by Lethabo at Steers, and I must say—what an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and a friendly attitude that made the experience even better.

I ordered an ice cream, and wow—it was pure indulgence! Creamy, smooth, and perfectly chilled, just the way a good ice cream should be. Every bite was a little moment of happiness. But what made it even sweeter was the amazing service from Lethabo. She was polite, efficient, and made sure I got exactly what I wanted.

It’s rare to find service this good these days, but Lethabo truly made my day. Steers, you’ve got a star employee right here! If you’re craving something sweet, head over and let her serve you—you won’t regret...

As it is in a busy food court it is expected to be hyped and manic.

But! The Steers at Sandton City food court provided me with excellent service.

The cashier Nkosi was amazing.. patience, calm and open to helping me, not only did she check on my food preparation, she made sure my order was prepared well.

Keith the manager, overheard my conversation about another steers serving bad chips... not only did he check on the cooks.. but he served me two to showed me texture and taste and explained how the chips should be cooked.
