I can honestly say that ordering takeaway from Debonairs was one of the most disappointing decisions Iâve ever made. I thought Iâd treat myself to two triple decker small pizzas, expecting something delicious, but instead, I got what I can only describe as an absolute joke.
When I opened the box, I was greeted by what could loosely be described as âpizza.â It was nothing but a sad stack of pizza bases, with barely any toppings. I mean, who needs actual toppings or flavor when you can just stack some dry crusts together and call it a "triple decker"? It was as if they took the most basic pizza concept and then completely ignored any effort or creativity. What I got didnât even resemble pizza in any meaningful wayâit was more like a sad, flatbread sandwich with no filling.
I paid good money for this mess, and I canât believe that they would even consider serving something so bland and lazy. To be honest, Iâm shocked that this place still has customers after delivering something so disappointing. You would think that for a takeaway meal, theyâd at least try to put some effort into making it look like a proper pizza. But nope. Just three layers of dough stacked on top of each other, as if theyâre doing you a favor.
Iâm seriously disgusted by the lack of quality and the sheer audacity to charge for something this bad. I could have gone to the grocery store, bought a frozen pizza, and probably had a better meal. To anyone considering ordering from Debonairs, do yourself a favor and save your money. This is not pizza, itâs an insult. I will never be ordering from here again, and I honestly advise you to think twice before supporting a place that clearly doesnât care about their customers or the...
Read moreI think the main issue is with the management, I used to think all Debonairs shops are horrible but I can attest to a branch in Benmore, I have placed orders telephonically for delivery and they always nail it. However, the Sandton shopping centre branch is a mess. I went there physically and explained how I wouldnât like a dry and doughy triple decker. I paid for extra sauces, guess what? They made an exact opposite and I returned it, but the manager was very cheeky and went on about the âfactâ that itâs impossible for a triple decker to not be dry đŽđŽđŽ and they were not bothered by what I showed them when I opened the layers - no filling whatsoever, just layers of dough with bits of a sauce. I also bought a single layer creamy chicken pizza - I think itâs best to bring your own chicken and then request them to prepare a pizza with it because there was hardly any chicken in that...
Read moreIn the 2 weeks that I have been in Johannesburg, the staff at this outlet were the most disinterested I have come across. I have picked up takeaway meals from the food court and eaten at many restaurants in this complex. Their attitude is completely out of the norm.
They never called our number to pick up our order. We were sitting at the table right in front of the outlet. Hardly 10m away. When we went to check if our pizza was ready after 25 minutes, they were almost rude as to why we had not come to pick it up sooner.
The pizza was also less than average. We had ordered a large half an...
