This establishment is a spin_off from its original POPEYES and the LOUSIANA chicken fry. However dome standards have certainly dropped... What is small for an average person is considered standard by this establishment. Refer to cool drink sizes. Talking of cooldrinks...the Kingsley substitute is not translated into its price...If Kingsley is a conscientious alternative then the ethical thing to do would be to sell it at its market price! Further the combo meals offer no value....I would if ever buy items individually to save me the heartache of thinking you getting more fir less.. Further the venue is not conducive to sit down meals ...it's a desolate and stark section of the establishment with no hand basins or sun blockouts over the large windows. I had to move the furniture to avoid the sun! I thought the food quality was good but a long way from the original! This concept has potential but not when you take customers...
Read moreI'm absolutely loving the new Cheekies fast food franchise that's taken over the old Popeyes spot on Cresta drive-thru!
The fried chicken at Cheekies is hands-down the best I've had in a long time! Their box meals are incredible value - delicious, filling, and super affordable compared to the previous Popeyes menu.
But what really sets Cheekies apart is the amazing staff! They're always smiling, kind, and welcoming. It's clear they're passionate about what they do, and it shows in the fantastic service they provide.
Since discovering Cheekies, I've been hooked! I've become a regular customer and can't recommend them enough. If you're a fan of great fried chicken and fantastic value, do yourself a favor and check out Cheekies - you won't regret it!
5 stars isn't enough - I'd give them 10...
Read moreI’m a big fan of an underdog, and I walked into Cheekies really just wanting a good experience. Ordered two and three-piece combos, went for the spicy option … and, problems. No chicken available, so waited more than ten minutes while they cooked some up. The included drinks are not Coca Cola products, but Kingsley. The bag the food came in was an unbranded brown paper bag, and the box was an unbranded white box. The spicy chicken was overly spicy (could have done with being just a little milder), and the chips were on the soggy side. I guess it was R10 cheaper than Chicking Cresta (you get a free drink as well), but you know where the money was saved. My recommendation: go for regular chicken instead. I’m going to try one of the popular chicken burgers next...
