RocoMamas Cresta Crossing — Restaurant in Gauteng

What a horrible experience. My family and I decided to take my son out to celebrate his matric pass. When we got there a young lady attended to us...asked her for the specials..said she will check and let us know 20 mins down the line still no feedback ok we go ahead and order...she takes the order then comes back to us like 4 times to confirm our order. On the 4th time accompanied by another lady. We asked her what the problem was the lady said the other lady was a trainee and said she sent her back to check cos she didn't trust the trainee...so we apologised and said ok no problem but let her wear a name badge to say she is a trainee and get someone to accompany her when taking orders...to say the least...we then waited more than an hour for our food...what made it worst was the ppl that came after us got served before us...they were up and down to the other tables...didn't bother to come and update us...4 different ppl eventually came when we started asking questions... eventually we got our food. OMG....cold burgers...rib and wing combo cold...as if it was made and left aside. So by now my partner was pissed off...so we asked a young guy to plzzz bring us doggy bags and the bill..he noticed that we hardly hardly touched our food and called it the managed. My partner explained that we were ignored, treated as if we didn't matter while the other customers were being served before us and treated better than us. We told her how the service went received was as thou we were not fit to be at Roco Mamas. She said she would make it up to us and give us a 20% discount to apologize. We still were not happy as no one ate and then he mood was off..we get the bill...no discount on the bill so we didn't want to cause a further scene so we paid and didn't tip and left. They took my phone no down and that was it...my son's matric pass celebrations left everyone at home up, with the doggy bags in the fridge....my partner said never again..my son was so upset he also said never again...so I am a very upset mum cos I selected the place thinking we were going to have a...

So I'm mesmerised by your excellently crafted adverts and make my way over to this RocoMam, also my second time @ a RocoMam.

After being nicely greeted by your waitering staff I make my way to the counter and know exactly what I'm gonna order. A Surprise me freak shake and a wafer. Oooooooo this is gonna be good. I saw those adverts. Can't wait. I totally don't mind the price to get my hands on what you'll showed on those adverts.

After winning a game of jenga with another cool waiter I patiently wait for food while he gets back onto work. Dreaming about the many heavens my taste buds will be in from the displays of your portrayed adverts.

It arrives. I leave. Make myself comfy in the car because I ain't no inside the restaurants eater. The wafer..... is dry . Dry my guy. Like I'm throwing all this icecream on it and I'm still using my shake which was also super thick to swallow this down. Struggles start happening. And I was so sad.

After consuming half the wafer I stop my denial and finally agree that it's not as good as it was shown. Many of it actually. This wasn't my first RocoMam experience espexially with shakes.

I contemplate why such horrible shakes and wafer would have such high prices and realise that it must've all gone to that psd, or renderings or photographers creating the adverts.

No RocoMam, you are bad. I shall check you off after the completion of the Shake tastes as not so good at all and move on to seeking better Shakes.

Maybe one day I shall return. But that, that's a bug maybe.....or maybe I'll return for jenga. But...

The staff here are very chipper and more than willing to serve you. They are familiar with the menu and can share their favorites with you. (I'd take their advice).

The food is absolutely delicious. It's reminiscent of a western steakhouse, but instead it's a burger house. Being able to customize your burger to your own taste is a big positive, and their specials are a great way to try new and unexpected combinations. The G-shakes are absolutely scrumptious. An excellent cure to the hankering for a milkshake.

The establishment is very clean and well looked after. The decor bright and bold using oranges and blacks to make a contrasting statement. The use of chunky wooden benches and tables makes it easy to squish a giant group around a table or allows a smaller group plenty of space. Finally, the music is...
