I would like to bring to your attention a disheartening incident that occurred during my recent visit to the Kauai store at Virgin Active Cresta on the 26th of November 2023.
My daughter and I have been regular patrons of your establishment, enjoying our Sunday breakfast at your store. Our routine typically involves ordering drinks, such as smoothies or coffee, along with a breakfast meal. To facilitate the payment, I utilize either a Discover or Virgin Active voucher for the drinks, covering the remaining balance separately.
Unfortunately, this Sunday's visit took an unexpected turn. I placed my order following the same routine as always, only to be met with a surprisingly rude response from the cashier, Sthembiso. She admonished me for not informing her about the vouchers when placing the order, citing potential system complications in processing multiple orders with vouchers and meals.
From a customer service standpoint, this experience was far from satisfactory. I believe that the responsibility of managing any system complexities should rest with the staff, and customers should not bear the brunt of such issues. In a situation like this, a more considerate approach would have been for the cashier to address the technicalities or suggest retrying the transaction rather than responding in a rude manner.
I want to emphasize that I should not be subjected to disrespectful treatment for simply following the established routine. It is not my fault if there are intricacies in the system that your staff may find challenging.
Regrettably, based on this incident, I have decided to discontinue our Sunday breakfast tradition at your store. It is disappointing to end a long-standing routine due to such an unfortunate encounter.

Their staff's attitude is so bad that you would really assume that you at a government institute and are desperate for assistance.    Read moreI received terrible service from this branch. The lady behind the counter was very rude, unresponsive and slow. The smoothie was lacking, it tasted more like water than anything. Staff clearly skip out on ingredients and you're left with a bland tasting smoothie after having spent a considerable amount of money.
