I have no words to describe how awful our experience was tonight! We attended Wild Falcon Spur. Upon being seated, we ordered beverages whilst deciding what to order to eat. At 1st I found that it was strange when they brought our drinks 1 at a time instead of all together as all spurs do. Then when ordering our starters and the meals for the kids as well as the mains. We received a portion of chips only after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting, 10 minutes later they brought my 1 son's meal, 5 minutes later they brought my other sons meal, 5 minutes went by again and my daughters meal as well as our starter arrived. We continued to wait another hour and our meals still weren't brought to us. I wouldn't usually mind waiting as I know sometimes the kitchen gets busy. However customers that entered the venue an hour after us had already received their meals! All the items that was received, were received in drips and draps. Is this Spur's idea of a family meal? Serve 1 person at a time and allow everyone to watch them eat? Not only did we not enjoy our meal but our mood has now been spoiled! I ended up spending R400 for nonsense and I didn't even eat anything! I had to go to Popeyes across the road to get a meal as I was famished after waiting more than 2 hours for absolutely nothing! I would never recommend this restaurant as a place for a family to enjoy a meal. Their standards are nothing like the spur you...

I flew to South Africa to visit family and missed spur so much I went to this one like 5 times over 2 weeks (if not more). Every time was a good experience so naturally I invited my entire family (who drove 4 HOURS) to come here..
The food and service was horrible. There was a HAIR in the sauce my brother had. Upon complaining to the manager, her attitude was horrible, and she kept saying it is part of the mushroom. It was not! There was a whole root on it. It looked like an eyelash or beard hair or something it was so off-putting!
After her arguing about this situation, denying it was a hair, which is very clearly was, she gave a drink on the house.
Honestly this did not even come close to remedying the issue. The hair aside, denying it and arguing with customers and being aggressive is really unprofessional and not at all how you treat customers. It was also so nauseating that no one enjoyed their meals after this.
Not to mention, our bill was well over R1000 that day, not to mention every other time I came in there over the 2 weeks before.
I will NEVER come back, or recommend this...
Read moreI was having a business meeting with my colleague n the 14th of February. I love this restaurant: quite and perfect for a business lunch. This time we were grossly disappointed with our coffee. It did not look like coffee - rather like dishwashing liquid. It did not smell like coffee . Actually, there was no aroma to that "thing". It did not taste coffee either. What a disappointment. Fortunately, they had a sort of training that morning with the staff and when I complained about the coffee a gentleman came up . He was with a label Beaver Creek. Our day was saved: we sent back the coffee which was liquid coffee the waiter said. Ha! Never drink liquid coffee, please :):):) We got strong, aromatic, delicious Beaver Creek coffee instead. Delightful:) Guys, please, don't chase your customers away to drink coffee next door in the coffee shop. You can increase your turn over with the proper coffee. Beaver Creek. Hurray:) I wonder if that Beaver sells their coffee somewhere else? I will be...
