KAUAI Bedford Square — Restaurant in Gauteng

Im not rating service or ambiance here as I ordered via Uber eats. And my issue isnt this this store directly though they were the store that we ordered from.

My issue is with Kauai as a whole. The food is bland and the portions so small for the price you have to pay. Ive been let down on so many occasions and I just cant do it anymore. This last order, which should have been somewhat decent has left me with a 'cut all ties,' feeling and Ill be happy to never order from a Kauai again. I just dont get it.. why do people like this place? Because I dont.

There was nothing Vietnamese about the Vietnamese wrap and was so bland and messy, I left it. And it was very expensive for the portion size. More expensive than anything half way better at woolies and Woolies is also unreasonabaly expensive.

The BBQ chicken wrap had almost no chicken, was so overly sweet that it wasnt a pleasure to eat.

The Salted Caramel smoothy was way too overloaded with whey power and didnt taste like Salted caramel.

The new Cacoa Mint smoothy was actually very good but is it worth it ordering? To maybe get one decent thing off a menu?

R500 for 4 items. We could have gotten full meals elsewhere for this price, better cooked, better tasting and actually, fresher.

I recently walked by the brand-new Kauai location, and I’m excited to see how it develops! Kauai is known for its fresh, healthy meals and delicious smoothies, so I have high hopes for this branch to live up to the quality of other locations. The store looks clean and inviting, and the menu, as always, offers a fantastic selection of nutritious options.

That said, being a new location, I have some concerns about how well it will be managed. Consistent leadership is key to maintaining the high standards Kauai is known for. I’m hopeful the management and staff will ensure this branch delivers the same exceptional service and food quality as others in the chain.

This spot definitely has potential, and I’ll be keeping an eye on how it shapes up. I’m optimistic it will become a great addition to the area and look forward to...

What a disappointment. I have visited the Kauai at New market on several occasions and their burgers are amazing so I expected the same at Bedford Kauai. But sadly my burger was poorly presented with very little garnish, the gherkins and tomatos were hardly visible and there were no onions not to mention it was so saturated with sauce that my roll was soggy. I told the lady at the counter that the burger was not so good and they should add onions and better portions of garnish as the New market Kauai does.
