Shun De Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Gauteng

Recently opened Chinese restaurant, serving a wide variety of Cantonese dishes to delight the tastebuds and senses. Includes in that selection of a la carte menu itsms, are typical yum cha fare as well. I however am not sure if there are any restrictions of when you can order those yum cha items. Conveniently located inside Gold Reef Casino, near the atm entrance, there is ample secure parking. Spacious, including two, private rooms, the attentive waiters are ready to serve. So although on the pricier side, there is now at least another option...

Was looking forward to trying out the menu. Walked in to a restaurant that wasnt very full, no one bothered to attend to us. Eventually a waitress came over, waved us to a general direction of tables to seat ourselves and then dropped one menu on the table for the two of us to share We saw the waitress again when she brough the complimentary peanuts to our table. We didnt see her again. We eventually walked out without an order taken. Dont bother if you want good service. There is none at this...

Restaurant has an aesthetic ambiance, perhaps some soft Chinese instrumental music would have augmented its appeal.

The cuisine is varied and well-presented. I would dare say some innovative touches by the chef as some of the fare is distinctly fusion food - cheese is hardly traditional to Chinese cuisine.
