As we walk in the chef asks us how we are so we say fine and you, he proceeds to say he is EXHAUSTED! He then proceeds to tell us the restaurant is fully booked when it’s empty. Terrible sense of humour and maybe we just expected better hospitality! Then during the entire experience the same jack johnson song played over and over again and when we asked the waiter why it’s on repeat, they said the chef has done that. Seems like the chef is the manager and chef in one. Then the food was so average, the omelette arrived without toast despite me ordering it. The almond croissant was filled with chocolate mouse and too rich for a breakfast item and should have been on the dessert menu. My husband did not enjoy the trout cream cheese, overall terrible. Coffee arrived cold… just not up to our standards. We are used to excellent food and service at establishments like Tashas mall of Africa. Poor management is evident in the Palms Plett. The establishment is obviously cutting costs...

Great new trendy restaurant and Boutique Hotel. Menu is contemporary style, and offers something for every palate. My partner and I had had Breakfast there the previous morning and were impressed with the signature ‘The Palms ‘ has to offer. The views are spectacular overlooking the Keurbooms Lagoon and beach. We were greeted at the door with a glass of Celebration sparkling Boschendal Brut which was dry with a slightly fruity taste. We started with the Burrata Bomb which serves two. Presentation is great, however the elements lacked hitting all the taste pleasures. For Main course we both opted for the Honey Roasted Duck Breast, delicious cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Dessert we decided to skip this time, however we will definitely be returning. Well run and for a busy night their service was outstanding. Congratulations and wishing the owners every Success in the...

We had a delicious Sunday lunch for four here. The generous menu is imaginative and varied. There are 8 or so starters which all sounded so delicious we had difficulty in deciding which to try. The mains were equally enticing as were the spectacular deserts. Presentation and taste of all our dishes was outstanding, seriously upmarket, but very reasonably priced.

The very well trained waiting staff were a pleasure to interact with, as was the chef, clearly a superbly trained and experienced person, who visited the table several times to make sure all was well. He is clearly passionate not only about the restaurant, but also the boutique hotel within which the restaurant is located.

The spectacular views over Lookout beach and the lagoon to the distant mountains must be mentioned.

The Palms Plett is by far one of my most favorite places to spend time. The moment you step inside, the décor sweeps you away—it’s refined, stylish, and absolutely upper class, setting the perfect atmosphere for a memorable outing. The service is consistently exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, with a team that makes you feel valued from start to finish. The cocktails are a work of art, beautifully crafted with that little extra kick that makes them stand out. We decided to start light with a small starter so we could indulge in dessert—and it was absolutely worth the wait. Every bite delivered on flavor and presentation, the perfect sweet ending to the experience. The Palms Plett is the kind of place that leaves you smiling long after you’ve left. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to visit again, and it’s always at the top of my list when in Plettenberg Bay.

Sorry, we can’t give more than one star. The restaurant couldn’t cope with the number of guests, so the service and food were very slow. Sadly the Food wasn’t even good. In our eyes problem of management since every single table/ chair got occupied. Guys, this will not lead to success! Plett standards are immensely high regarding food, drinks, ambiance and service - you can’t compete with any of the other high standard restaurants around. You got that one star for the view…. People like the chat… so turn down that volume in the restaurant!
