Mugg & Bean — Restaurant in Milnerton

Myself and Fiance had the worst meal - photos on the menu was completely different to the actual meal.

I ordered the local braai meal and the lamb chop was the size of my thumb and the chicken skewers was skinny as a pen. The entire meal on a plate looked like a kiddies meal spread out - I even added photos of the meant meal versus the meal I received . I added photo of my thumb next to the chop.

I am so disappointed because this is one of the higher value meals and I always enjoy the breakfast meals, the chicken Alabama stack is much more value and is so much cheaper.

We complained to the waitress about it and all she said was as sorry she will let the chef know . The chicken skewered was so overcooked it was close to bolting - did not taste like it was freshly braaied or grilled.

My partner and I ate our meals regardless because we finished work late and had to eat as we hooked between 7pm and 8:30 pm we left.

We spent on the braai meal and the new creamy bean,chicken meal ,in total we spend over 460 which we still included to tip the waiter.

The waitress clearly never had any compassion she just brushed us off politely, there was no initiative to check the plate or know her meals.

Myself and partner was not in the mood to go to another restaurant and wait for another meal because we had already started drinking our coffee at your restaurant.

We are just so disappointed because I don’t think this is the quality of the company I genuinely think the chef was...

Please avoid this branch if you can, I’ve never had such bad customer experience before at any of the other branches. My sister and I were there this morning to buy muffins (we really enjoy them) and we were contemplating on getting coffee but I’m glad we didn’t, the muffins were not up to our standard. As we came in the patron welcomed us, l then told her that we would like to order take away, I asked her for the menu and she gave it. My sister and I were looking at the menu deciding what coffee we want or if we just want muffins. We decided to go ahead with just the muffins. We paid and everything. At other branches they ask if you would like to warm your muffin but this was not even a suggestion. I had to ask the barista to warm our muffins. She was then busy with another customer. We did not want our muffins to be very warm. I then asked another patron if we could get our muffins now because we were waiting long, the manager George or whatever his name is then proceeded to tell me that the barista is busy with someone I must go stand in the queue, I told him that I ordered already and I asked for our muffins to be warm and we were waiting long for them to be given back to us. When I got my muffin back firstly it was upside down in the packet, and it was melted. When we ate it it was very dry and not nice at all. Would not recommend to go to this branch. Highly...

I went to Mugg and Bean tygervally because I ABSOLUTELY love their big Ben eggs Benedict and also thought to get milkshake.. My 1st few sips of the milkshake was sour and I thought it was because the straw was in the chocolate syrup at the bottom so I stirred it. However, it continued to taste terrible the 2nd photo was 20 minutes of having it... and the 1st is 40 min where you can see the liquid has actually separated.

I said to the waiter it is off, not even a sorry. He gives me a look and walks away. Their manager lady comes over and said it is not off and offered me something else instead. At that point I was finished with my food so I didn't want to order anything else and just asked for the bill. They charged me for the milkshake to which refused as I only had 4 sips and it looked terribly off, "ma'am you need to understand that the milkshake is not off, the way we make it will separate if left for longer than 30 min"

I don't know about you but sour and separating milk/ice cream is off. And instead of apologizing, I get told I need to understand

The attitude from the beginning was completely sour. From both the waiter as well as the manager lady. I won't be returning.
