2022 Had a quick dinner with a friend, ordered myself starter ribs and the sashimi combo.

Like with the other reviews, the beef ribs are honestly out of this world and you won't find this at a steakhouse. Sashimi was up to par, I realized the time I ordered was made quickly and left standing on the counter that when it arrived, either the fish or the cucumber garnish became wet like soup on my plate.

I'm leaving out the one star to come again and try out the seafood, otherwise overall staff and cleanliness are excellent.

One year later..... 2023

I can't count how many times I have come back with my man and my family!!! The consistency I tell you, CONSISTENCY, is too good to be true! You can come through a quiet evening or a busy end of the month date, the quality and freshness of every meal IS on point!

Each time we come around is never just 2 main meals and we leave blah blah blah...

Ribs - is a MUST have NO doubt Fish - try it Grilled, the flavour and the perfection of it cooked will make You not want fried fish anymore Starter - this cheesy garlic bread is the best thing I have ever devoured Rib eye - so succulent, so juicy Calamari and squid heads - this must be fried, no second guesses! Sushi - don't over do it, your food may look small... But the sushi are killer sizes!

Staff knows when they see our faces, always very friendly and very attentive to your needs, which makes me feel like a giddy kiddy to be coming back each time what feels like home.

This is place deserves more than 5 stars! Well...

I think by now it's safe to say that my favourite "extracurricular activity" is definitely eating out and trying new restaurants. Although CTFM is well-known to us all, it definitely doesn't have to stand back for any other restaurants out there. We pay to enjoy a good meal, thus we expect that our meal will be good and that the quality and taste will be up to scratch. I never just rate my experience at a restaurant based on the food alone. For me, it starts from the minute I make my first step towards the front entrance. And yes, my family and I received a very warm welcome from the hostess, and from there, it just flowed. Our waiter looked as if he had been waiting just for our arrival. He took very good care of us, and we're a group of five people, and someone is always changing their order last minute, but he was patient, and he didn't get any of our orders wrong. He was very friendly and attentive. Should something I ordered perhaps not have been prepared the way I liked it, the first thing I would look at is the restaurants eagerness to correct the problem. I'm usually very tough when I write out my reviews because I feel I owe it to the people reading my reviews to be very honest, but I also believe that one little slip doesn't always call for a negative review when the majority of people know that CRFM is one of the best Seafood restaurants in South Africa, my favourite is Canal Walk and I'm never disappointed with...

We had a terrible experience, as the waiter placed my husbands meal down there was this very long hair on his plate. He just wanted to take it off because he did not want to complain but come on this in itself is just super gross! I ended up sharing my meal with my husband as it was closing time. There was no way he was going to consume food with hair in it. In utter shock and disbelief I flagged the waiter and showed him what we found as he put the meal down. I took a snap of it. I happened to wear a ponytail that evening so it was not my hair. It could also not possibly be mine as I was not close to the waiter for that matter. As he put it down it was there!!! He then called the manager, who said she really does not know how that hair got there. She had very very long hair and no net. So go figure! She implied that it was my hair. She offered to replace the meal free of charge however it was charged to our bill... by this time they offered to make a fresh meal. When we arrived home the meal was not fresh. I tasted it and can confirm the beef was not fresh. "It was probably a special order" they compensated with 2 free sodas which we did not request. I left mine as I'm not a soda lover. The manager said she won't charge but I did not want to argue with the waiter as he insisted the sodas are free. Safer to prepare your own meals at home! All staff should be wearing hair nets!!! Gross...

I've given this place four tries within the space of two months now, but we've been coming here every time before there is a live show at Grand West and yes there is a long waiting time (20-25min), but that is understandable as they are at capacity, however what is frustrating and seems like they can't learn their lesson - that when there is a show at Grandwest they need to double-up their staff, the chefs and waiters are heavily understaffed. When we finally got inside and got our table at the Sushi buffet belt there was nothing left on the belt anymore and plates standing around for more than 40minutes, we eventually ordered as we figured out that was the only way we'll get food, we waited up to an hour for our sushi to come out, which meant we had to gobble it up in minutes to make it in time for the show. The sushi here is great, but be prepared to wait in line for 30 minutes, wait 15 minutes for a waiter to come and help you, another 15 minutes to get your drink and an hour to get your food if there is a show on. Next time I head there for a show, I'll give CTFM a skip.

Fabulous food, stays open later than most restaurants in the mall and even though I know they sigh when they see me approaching they try really hard not too show their disappointment. 😊 I usually stretch my shopping expedition until the very last minute of trading and then quickly run up to the top floor food court where I know I wont be shown away because their kitchen is: "Sorry, already closed mam" when in actual fact they really aren't that sorry at all 😁. Thank goodness for Capetown Fish Market and their ever so faithful staff members for great food, a light and airy ambiance in a relaxed environment just to enjoy a cool beverage, catch that much needed breath and a soothing break for my tired feet after a strenuous hour or two of shopping. It can get quite competitive out there in the field you know 😉 🕉️

This was my first time at CTFM, CC. The Moscow Mule was amazing. First time we tried the Rekordelig (both the Strawberry and Mixed Berry one) and it did not disappoint at all. The tuna and avocado salad as a starter was delicious. The presentation of the chicken curry was very adorable. I fully enjoyed the chicken curry and would definitely recommend it (I ordered mild). The curry had a good amount of chicken and sauce, and the flavours were top notch. The Vanilla milkshake is a definite yes from me. The baby squid main meal was well presented but the taste was worthy of a 4.5. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I'd recommend CTFM, CC and go there again. Note this restaurant does have a smoking area, a sushi conveyer belt and a small outside area. We sat inside at the back of the restaurant.
