There’s is one of staff of this hotel, whose name is Azola, works in M Club Lounge (guests who have Bonvoy Elite Status, Platinum & above can access the lounge. Azola and the rest of staff were promoted to recognize guests who entered the club and offered a light dishes that were included a small portion of its dessert, meal, & salad - pretty nice. That’s what I call, a quick service to recognize and offering guests and being professional while they’re in the M Club Lounge. This Marriott Hotel staff know how to serve to its guests & the Bonvoy Elite members = Awesome Hospitality! High recommended for people who are seeking for their places to stay for their professional & leisure purposes.
Returning to this hotel shortly, simply because this Marriott Hotel is one of best hotels I've ever experienced for the last 30 years for professionally and personally. This hotel offers very nice hospitality from the management, front desk, housekeeping staff, employees in this hotel. I look forward to staying at this hotel very shortly.
The Previsouly Written ==================== Checked in a bit late in the evening was smooth, and I was told that my room was upgraded, although I like to be on the higher floor, but it is good. More updates will be followed. Towers and pillars on the bed are made as requested. The buffet breakfast is pretty good as well. The water pressure is pretty good in the shower, and the bathtub is nice. The bed is very comfortable, and requested foam pillows were excellent to have for a good sleep through the night. The hotel is located in a very good location, close to the Canal Walk shopping mall, which has a lot of stores, restaurants, and grocery stores. I've been a diehard customer with the Marriott hotel for almost 30 years. The buffet breakfast is pretty good. In general, people who are working as "employees" are good people. I was invited to M-Club Lounge, on the ground level, by the general manager, who is Conrad Jonck. M-Club is a pretty nice & cozy lounge that only allows Bonvoy Elites of Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador Elites. I'll definitely try to return to Cape Town Marriott Hotel Crystal Towers. Highly recommend this hotel for people who are traveling for leisure and/or business. Let me say again, M-Club is really nice, and people who are working in the breakfast & late afternoon are professional & courteous. You won’t be disappointed when you’re visited to this hotel and M-Club which is located in the ground level, where the front desk is...
Read moreAs a frequent traveler, I have stayed in countless hotels all around the world. But my recent stay at the Marriott Hotel in South Africa was an exceptional experience, one that I cannot stop raving about and recommending.
Firstly, let me start with the excellent treatment I received from the hotel staff. They were friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of amazing. The guest manager Loys, in particular, was an absolute gem. She was extremely professional, approachable, and accommodating, and always made sure that I had everything I needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I also had the pleasure of meeting the general manager, who was equally exceptional in her role and made a great impression on me.
Moving on to the amenities, the bar upstairs on the pool deck was temporary but had excellent drinks. The suite I stayed in was newly renovated and had a modern design that felt luxurious and comfortable. The staff took care of every detail, making sure that the suite was always clean and tidy.
This Marriott Hotel is a paradise for titanium elite members like myself. The perks and benefits that came with my status were truly exceptional, and I felt like a VIP guest throughout my stay. The hotel is undoubtedly one of the best Marriott hotels in South Africa, offering super quality services and facilities. Please keep this level.
The breakfast served at the hotel was simply amazing. The variety of food options was vast, and the quality of each item was top-notch. The view of Table Mountain and Cape Town from the suite was breathtaking, making it the perfect place to start the day and end of the day.
But what truly stole the show was the sunset view from the Suite. It was the best sunset I had seen in a long time, and I cannot thank the staff enough for making it such a memorable experience.
In conclusion, my stay at the Marriott Hotel was nothing short of excellent. From the exceptional treatment from the staff, the luxurious suite, the amazing amenities, and the breathtaking views, everything was simply perfect.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in South Africa. Thank you so much to everyone at the Marriott Hotel for making my stay an unforgettable...
Read moreI am reviewing Orah Bar and Lounge (prev Ruby's Bar). My husband and I frequented Ruby's Bar regularly when we lived a little closer and I really looked forward to going there again after some time. We have always had a wonderful time there with the BEST service. This past Sunday, we suggested it to friends who were out with us for the night (one of them celebrating his birthday) and were utterly disappointed by the service of the wait staff that night.
The bar was pretty busy when we initially arrived, it seemed there had been an event or party elsewhere in the hotel. We arrived and got seated at the bar and were met with dirty looks from the barman on service (Girshwin) informing me that I had taken someone's seat. We got up, were still not greeted or offered service or a menu by Girshwin. He also didn't bother letting us know where we can sit. Another gentlemen, seemingly a supervisor/manager perhaps, offered to take our order and we took seats elsewhere. While waiting for our drinks, I noticed that there wasn't anyone sitting in the spots we sat when we arrived and thought it rude that Girshwin had told us this. We received our drinks from the supervisor/manager and never saw him again. The bar also emptied out and became pretty quiet.
Despite there being enough capacity, the service was appalling. We were never asked if we would like refills (the bar was clearly open for the foreigners next to us), nor were we offered bar snacks. Meanwhile, other patrons were regularly served and looked after. When I stopped a waitress to ask her if she could take our orders, she just said okay, walked away and called Girshwin to take our order. The waitresses literally walked by us to ask the next group of people if they were okay or wanted refills. Every time we wanted or needed anything, we would have to go to the wait staff instead of them coming to us.
Surely one need not be foreign or book hotel rooms to get good service at this bar? I am really disappointed and through recommending this place, I disappointed my friend - on his birthday. I can't believe this is the same place I once enjoyed so much. It's...
