Sept 2018 - 5 stars Generous Portions and a fantastic little spot to catch up with friends for Brunch. We had the Smashed Avo and Egg on Rye and it was gorgeously good. Service was friendly.

EDIT Dec 2018 - 1 star I'm sad to have had to rate this place down We arrived to a basically empty establishment. Waited 10 minutes for the waiter to come take our drinks order upon which we also ordered breakfast which only came 50min later!

Hubby was happy with his full house breakfast and I went again for the Smashed Avo. I'd asked for my eggs to be scrambled which it was not. The bread was a white hot dog roll that was stale and cold. Absolutely unacceptable. At that point it was no use to complain as I was so hungry and not willing to wait another while before the correct food was sent out. The same waitress as last served us but wasn't...

If I could rate zero stars I would I used to come here years ago and loved it. Was really disappointed today with the food and management of our experience. We ordered flat whites which were lattes (not on the menu) - manager didn’t apologize but instead said they’re not a place with baristas . (But they have a proper coffee machine with a full coffee-offering menu.) Shakshuka- canned tomato, no spices. Then we found bits (not just a tiny piece) of eggshells in the eggs Benedict. We called the manager over. They explained that it’s eggs sometimes it happens. No apology. And that is not an acceptable answer for a restaurant. We heard the manager say to the staff “just take that man’s food”. Wow. We were met with a very defensive, unapologetic awful attitude and we still had to pay. Never going back and it’s...

Got there and it was empty early morning, we were the first customers. The waiter took our order only after 10 minutes. The milkshakes we ordered were extremely warm and runny. Then we had to wait for over an hour to get our food, by that time almost everyone around us had their food and already eating but we had to wait still. We only got our food once we went to the kitchen to actually ask to pay for our milkshakes because we wanted to leave.

Once we got our food, it wasn’t very good. The eggs Benedict hardly had any sauce on it. The fries were hard and stuck together with no flavour, the hash browns were very very oily, the eggs were rubbery. I was extremely disappointed. Definitely not worth the price and the wait time. Couldn’t even...

So today's restaurant I went to was Honeybun Cafe and Deli. It is situated on the lower main road of Obs. I went there for some breakfast and enjoyed their Eggs Benedict with extra bacon. As a drink I enjoyed a Chai Latte. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly. The wait time was about 20mins for the food and drink. One really cool thing and I don't know if it was just for the Chai Latte, is the inclusion of a small heart shaped biscuit with the drink, a really nice touch. Finally the manager was really accommodating when my phone did not work with one of their card machines and we had to get another machine, so thumbs up for service. All in all a good experience.

It is only the salted caramel latté and hash stack (even though red onions can do with more time in the pan) that increased the rating; eggs on 2nd dish was not to order, cortado not the best, hashbrown on 2nd dish to long or in to hot oil, and food cold. Would have returned eggs but after having waited forever for our food, did not want to wait longer. Not best of planning when only 1 of various fresh juices available. Maybe time to think about alternative way of dealing with takeaway orders, because already small space becomes very overcrowded (and add to kitchen being very slow).
