The above was my initial review from 8 months ago, when we 1st visited Jean Luc's. I was abit sad to learn that they moved to the Sea Point area. The new location in the Mojo Market is a buzz with foodies. Jean Lucs is an establishment like no other.
The service levels haven't changed. The love of, and for, food is the same as I remember. Such juicy ribs and steak, Thick-cut chips and crispy fried onion rings. It just seems to melt in your mouth.

This also affected their ability to serve us quickly, with only one poor waitron having to run the entire front of house, playing hostess, barlady, and waitress all by herself to an almost full restaurant. That said she was friendly, and dis a great job. Jean-Luc also stepped out to greet us and make sure we were happy. We had plenty of time to chat on our date night and the wait here and there didn't exactly ruin the experience. Definitely recommended...
Read moreI just had lunch and content I,m as content as cat who had a bowl of double cream. Simplistic and Comfortable, seating area. A haven from the heatwave in the Ciy today. We had a tasting platter for two, pork belly, tomato risotto , chalmar beef (medium rare & tender) these were all miniature but surprisingly quite filling. Quite a lovely combination of flavours.
