Hi
I came in for breakfast on Saturday morning. We don't usually eat out but it was my son's birthday and he requested Wimpy. I ordered a chicken burger and gugu was my waiter. I did tell her before she could bring my order that the chicken fillet in my burger must be DECENT AS I HAVE PREVIOUS SAD EXPERIENCES I THE PAST. She brings the burger and my chicken fillet is paper thin. I couldn't even taste the chicken whilst eating. I complained and the manager said this comes pre packed and weighed and not a fault of THEIRS, VERY UNHELPFUL MANAGER AND LOOKED AT ME UNINTERESTED .I had a similar experience at STEERS and I don't eat their anymore. For R85( which is what I paid for the burger.) I could have maDE amazing burgers at home for my family. As a franchise you are dropping your standard so new kids on the block are taking over. Eventually wimpy will be dealing with a loss and the customer now has to suffer for wimpy to regain a profit. I should have actually taken photos. They did offer me another burger but I was halfway through my burger and I already had a busy day. Also how was wimpy going to do it differently the 2ND time if it comes pre packed 🙄. I asked for a credit on the burger rather and they just gave me 15% of the meal which was R54. Anyways Wimpy that was sad. Your customer service was really APALLING. You are now added to my STEERS list and I will not eat here anymore. ALSO. MY SON WAS SAD THAT I DIDN'T ENJOY MY BURGER AMD IT SPOILT THE BIRTHDAY MOD!!! To everyone out there, PREPARE YOUR FOOD AT HOME AND YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING!! THAT'S THE ONLY PLACE YOU CAN TRUST 🙏😕
I HAVE COMPLAINED ONLINE AND I'LL NOW NO RESPONSE FROM THE STORE. BAD...
Read moreWimpy Suncoast is one of those reliable breakfast spots that never disappoints — especially if you’re looking for a relaxed morning meal by the beach. I recently visited with my mom for breakfast, and we had such a great experience overall. The atmosphere is cheerful and welcoming, with a lovely seaside energy that makes it feel like the perfect start to a Sunday.
The food was just what you’d expect from Wimpy — hearty, comforting, and satisfying. Our breakfast was served hot and fresh, and the coffee was just right to kick-start the day. The staff were friendly and efficient, even though the restaurant was quite busy. They managed to keep things running smoothly and made sure everyone was looked after.
One important tip though — get there early. Sundays are particularly popular at the Suncoast branch, and it can get packed rather quickly. The crowd is a mix of families, friends catching up, and early beachgoers stopping in for a good meal. If you arrive too late, expect a bit of a wait for a table, but honestly, it’s worth it once you’re seated and your order arrives.
What I appreciate most about Wimpy Suncoast is the consistency — the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall vibe make it an easy go-to spot. The prices are reasonable, and the menu caters to everyone, from light eaters to those wanting a full traditional breakfast.
All in all, Wimpy Suncoast offers a great combination of good food, great service, and a bustling coastal atmosphere. Whether you’re local or visiting the area, it’s definitely a place to include in your...

I visited Wimpy on a Sunday morning with a friend, and unfortunately, the service was abysmal. We were left sitting for an extended period with no one attending to us, despite having menus. When I approached a staff member to politely inquire about taking our order, I was met with hostility and disrespect. The staff member laughed in my face and accused me of lying about waiting, which was not only unprofessional but also rude.
Given the poor service, we decided to leave without ordering. It's disappointing to see a restaurant like Wimpy fail to provide basic customer service. Perhaps it's time for them to review their staff training and customer service standards.
Update: If you're considering visiting Wimpy, be prepared for potentially long waits and...
