Nikos Suncoast — Restaurant in Stamford Hill

All I can say is WOW! What an amazing restaurant with such amazing staff who looked after us so nicely! I had brought my German husband and his mother with me to South Africa and we decided to have something to eat at Suncoast. The waiter at Nikos was enthusiastically waving us down so we decided to eat there. I am so glad we made that decision because the food was phenomenal and the service was 5 stars. I have a gluten allergy and it's quite severe as I am celiac. I had the lamb chops and vegetables and I explained to our waitress that they needed to be very careful with not using spice as it can contain gluten and if they could just use olive oil, salt and pepper to cook my food. It's stressful eating in restaurants in South Africa as I often get my food contaminated with gluten even after explaining and I get very sick. This was not the case with Nikos. They took my allergy very serious and I had no issues what so ever. Even with all my limitations they were able to make my food taste so delicious, I was completely blown away. My husband (who is very fussy) absolutely loved his meal. We even had one of the waiters come chat with us as he overheard my husband speaking German and he had lived in Germany previously so he enjoyed using some of the German he had learnt. We were so impressed with how good the food and service was and with how they took care of my allergy, that we came back the following week. We had another waitress, but our waitress from our first visit remembered us and she went out of her way to make sure my food was done correctly. We were having a South African wedding the following week so when the staff heard this they took us inside so that we could break plates in celebration. It was just such an amazing experience and the staff just made it so much better. I was completely blown away by their kindness and going out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. I can't recommend this place enough and I will be sure to come back the next time I visit...

Our second visit to Nikos lived up to expectations and more! Swazi, our server, was excellent, and the meals more so!

Everything was absolutely delish! Ribs are succulent with an addictive sauce. Steaks were done to perfection, and the chicken too. Hake and calamari were enjoyed as well. We finally got a takeaway dessert--Pavlova--and it's absolutely yummy!

Portions are generous, and this is the one eat-out restaurant where the food always looks and tastes so good, and I feel even better after eating there instead of tired and uncomfortable. Even the chips are never dry and moderately seasoned. Compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff because everything we've tasted out of that kitchen is incredibly tasty and satisfying!

The menu is a nice mix of Greek and grills with some lovely vegetarian options including the very large Yiros--one of which I've had before.

Staff are attentive but never intrusive, while the setting is fresh and easy-going with comfortable seating and good ocean views on the terrace. We love that it's generally peaceful for lunch.

It's our new fave restaurant and we cannot wait...

Honestly I wasn't up to going to Nikoz.... because... Well! Suncoast 😆☺️ I'm not one for crowds, mostly.

Hubby was insistent and so I caved. To my surprise, it was such a pleasant experience.

The staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive. This is a plus when it comes to dining out.

My diet as many of you who read my reviews will know... it's very restricted. The waitress was accommodating and promised to check if they could meet my needs- and they did. It would be have been a further bonus if there were some seasonal vegetables to go with my meal of lamb chops and roasted potatoes, nevertheless, It tasted good!

The decor was tastefully and beautifully designed... not too over the top, just enough! Truly Mediterranean feel.

The food was well presented and delicious. Prices are relevant and affordable for what you get.

The pleasant surprise of the night, which was the win for me.... was the musician! He brought such a vibe to the otherwise wet evening. I hope he is there most weekends, if not all!
