Nestled by the harbor, this seafood restaurant offers an enchanting dining experience that tantalizes the senses. The ambiance is immediately welcoming, with a delightful blend of nautical charm and contemporary elegance that sets the stage for a memorable meal. Each dish served is a testament to the chef's commitment to freshness and flavor, particularly the seafood selection which is, unequivocally, the star of the menu. The panorama of the harbor complements the meal, adding a serene backdrop that enhances the flavors on your plate. The culinary craftsmanship here elevates simple seafood to new heights, easily surpassing their meat offerings. I wholeheartedly recommend indulging in the catch of the day, which, during my visit, was a succulent display of the ocean's bounty. This gem of a restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor the essence of the sea paired with a stunning view.

Nestled in the heart of the harbour, you’ll find Bertha’s. A quaint atmosphere awaits inside of the restaurant, the staff are friendly and efficient, we didn’t have to wait at all before being helped. The food came relatively quickly. The Fully Loaded Burger: Juicy patty with the perfect basting, and all of the elements just complimented each other perfectly. It’s massive too, so I recommend starving yourself before taking on this beast. 1/2kg Prawns: Fresh, juicy and perfectly seasoned 200g Sirloin: Juicy. Melted in your mouth, just absolutely perfect. Hake & Calamari Platter: They absolutely nailed it! The seasoning was perfect, the fish was fresh. The Calamari’s batter was the perfect ratio. I’d definitely recommend trying Bertha’s. Their prices are actually really good as well!

Service delivery was shocking. The restaurant wasn't even busy and there seemed to be enough staff. Reserved a table for 8. Arrived and was seated. No server arrived to our table, after 10 minutes we got up and got our own menus. 25 minutes passed we still hadn't been served by a waiter or waitress. I got up to ask for assistance our waiter came with menus and saw we had already got our own, he then left without taking our order. At this point we had been seated for over half and hour. We decided to get up and leave. On our way out 3 different staff members spoke to us. We were disappointed as we planned in advance booked a table and had to leave and find another restaurant to serve a table of 8. If you want timely service I wouldn't recommend Bertha's.

It was a very disappointing experience, especially as we chose this place based on its reviews. The food was not good—probably the worst seafood I've had. We opted for the Neptune platter, and all I can say is never again. The prawns were meh, the mussels were good, I guess, and the calamari tasted like it had been touched by bleach—very chemical-like, if that makes sense. The fish?? All I can say is, yoh! Never again! The chips were nice, the service was good, and we were seated as soon as we arrived (no reservation). Our waitress was lovely; she gave us ample time to order and did not disrupt us while eating, which I appreciated. Overall, it was not the best experience solely based on the food we were served. I would not go back.
