I write this review after they asked me about five (!) times to write one. Okay, if you insist, but don’t blame me for being honest.
I won’t recommend this place. The ‘bbq’ is on an electric plate, no charcoal or something similar, like a lot of other bbq restaurants have. The meat is not good! It’s been cooked already and the pork had no taste at all, it’s not that juicy salty taste that makes pork so delicious in other bbq restaurants. I really cannot understand why other people write the meat is the best. It just isn’t.
Then the service: they are in a rush, and way too pushy. They put everything for you on the plate, in one time, then they cut it as quick as they can, hustle it a few times and then it’s ready to eat. All at once! So the meat that doesn’t have much taste from the beginning, now also gets dry.
They provide the food faster than McDonald’s. You don't get the chance to bbq yourself, if you would want to. In the end you get a 'free' desert, if you (again!!!) want to write a review. Okay, here it is.
My advice: improve the food quality (really!), improve the service and don't be begging all night long for reviews, that's...
Read moreStumbled upon this spot just a few minutes’ walk from the main tourist area—and what a find! If you’re craving authentic Korean BBQ with warm, attentive service, this is the place. From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us like locals, guiding us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm and offering great pairing recommendations.
The meats were top-notch—fresh, well-marinated, and grilled to perfection right at our table. The side dishes (banchan) were plentiful and flavorful, with some homemade touches that gave a real homestyle vibe. And the best part? No rushed tourist treatment here. They actually took time to chat, share stories, and made the whole meal feel like a cultural experience, not just dinner.
Highly recommend stopping by if you want to escape the tourist crowds for a bit and enjoy a more local, welcoming atmosphere. Come hungry—and maybe bring a stretchy...
Read moreWhere to start. As soon as we walked in and looked at the menu we were told by the waiter to order the 1kg set as it is the right amount for two people. Having been in Korea now for two weeks, and having visited previously we knew this was obviously an attempt to over sell. Next, that same waiter walked to a table of five then said the same package is good for five people.
The main downside is the quality of food. The pork comes out semi-precooked, and my guess would be because it was frozen. It lacked real flavour and tasted "off", worst of all some 12 hours later have caused my wife to violently ill. I have some serious concerns over their food safety measures and wouldn't be suprised if they're defrosting and refreezing meat.
If you want to get sick eat here, there are many other better barbeques...
