DO NOT STAY HERE - One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in
This hotel is in terrible condition and should not be allowed to claim four stars.
Had a really bad experience from start to finish.
There were no kitchen items at all, even though the room was advertised with a kitchenette. Just two dirty mugs. A cleaner came in and poured bleach into the mugs to soak them, but never returned to rinse them. So was left with two mugs full of bleach. No cutlery, no pans, no plates—nothing.
The room was dusty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. The building is very old, maybe 30–40 years, and it shows. The bathroom had mold and damp in the corners. It looked and smelled dirty.
On the last night, there was a rainstorm and water leaked into the room through cracks in the window. That should not happen in a hotel room.
Housekeeping didn’t change the sheets. They just made the bed. They didn’t wipe down any surfaces or clean properly. Only the bathroom was cleaned, and they used strong chemicals that left a bad smell in the room.
The aircon turns off at 9pm and doesn’t come back on until 8am. You’re not allowed to control it yourself. It got very hot and uncomfortable at night.
The gym was dirty. The equipment was old and the carpet had large stains all over it. It didn’t feel clean or safe to use.
The pool was closed the whole time. It was physically locked with a wooden plank across the entrance. That should have been made clear before booking.
Every night there were 'special business trip' massage and escort flyers on the floor near the elevators. This happened every single night, and no one cleaned them up until the next morning. The hotel do not stop this from happening. This is not something you want to see in a hotel, especially if you have children with you (and there were many families staying here).
It also gives a clear idea of what kind of guests they expect.
The area outside the hotel is loud, busy, and unpleasant. There are carnival games, beggars, drunk people, and aggressive sellers. The kind of tourists who stay here make the area feel messy and unsafe. It’s not a nice part of Busan at all.
The only good thing about the hotel was the view from the room and even then there are better rooms with better views of the beach along the coastline, and honestly, the view isn’t worth all the other problems. There are better views just a few minutes away in buildings that are actually clean and well-managed.
I don’t understand how this place has so many good reviews. Based on the stay, it was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. If you’re thinking about booking here, don’t. I made the mistake of ignoring the negative reviews and I regret it. One star...
Read moreThe room was mostly very good. Very large with a good desk, comfortable bed, stunning view. The location is excellent, close to the beach, restaurants and convenience stores. Convenient for me because we had a workshop in the hotel. There were a few problems however, too many given the room cost. In fact after 2 nights of a 7 night stay I tried to move to another hotel, but they would not refund me for the remaining days. The hotel could be much better because many of the problems are fixable. ||The shower temperature was okay but should be hotter. There was a small fridge but it was too cold and froze my food. Sound proofing was not great, loud neighbours woke me up a few times, doors of other rooms were quite noisy when closing, and street noise was occasionally loud even on the 23rd floor. No central control for the lighting. ||There's a gym in an open area on floor 19 with free space up to the 24th floor, which seems to cause some problems. The large space is very warm for a gym at about 25C (in July). Gym access only 8am to 8pm, presumably for noise reasons. ||The hotel breakfast was acceptable but not very good, the hot food was just warm, the coffee was mediocre. Good latte available for 3800 won in the lobby. ||Two-stage access from street to room got a bit tedious: elevator from street to lobby, then another elevator from lobby to room. After waiting 15 minutes for an elevator once (big group of new arrivals) I took the stairs, up 19 floors. ||Wifi in my room had a technical glitch. I rang and they said they would send help, but no-one came. ||I'll stay somewhere...
Read moreWe stayed here 10 years ago the first time we moved to Korea and were happy to return but we were very disappointed this time. The hotel is very run down and worn, hallway carpets are extremely stained. Wifi in our room never worked. No coffee or tea in the room so we had to buy it. We had two rooms for 5 people and opted for breakfast included, we only found out at breakfast the next morning that its one breakfast per room so I guess the other three people can get stuffed?... We ended up eating out every morning as breakfast was inedible and cold. Everytime I opened our door I had a view of a dirty storage closet with matresses and chairs, lets not forget this is a 4 star hotel with 4 star prices. The cleaning staff use the client elevators and shove you to the back with thier laundry trolleys etc or hold up the lifts, sometimes it took us 10 minutes to get downstairs. The pool is at etra cost. The gym is a joke, actually part of the hallway with rooms that give onto it and its got to be 30 degrees in there, no gym flooring, people sweat onto the carpet...|Only positives are location, rooms are clean and room size. Needs to drop a star, drop the prices and...
