Jeju Bon — Restaurant in Jeju

After a long day of hiking, we were starving by the time we made it here for dinner. It hit the spot! It’s a brief, easy walk from Grand Hyatt Jeju hotel. Variety of options on the menu to accommodate a group, but not so many that it’s overwhelming. Our group of 6 was able to be seated at the traditional seating without a reservation right away despite the restaurant being busy. (Tidbit: you will have to remove your shoes to sit in this area).

The lady (we think she’s the owner/boss) was very friendly/helpful and took time to explain and answer any questions. She made sure we enjoyed our dinner Korean style…it’s all in 1 bite! The meat is grilled at the table over charcoal, which she also assisted with no problem. The meal came with several banchan items and she even brought us some different Kimchi options to accommodate our food.

We all left with full tummies! Prices were very reasonable. Would definitely return. They did speak a little English, so we were able to communicate. Fortunately we had someone that speaks Korean in our group.

Super friendly lady boss helped introduce us to the local jeju way of eating bbq pork with sides! She also helped us grill despite it being a very busy time with other guests. We ordered two portions of pork belly, pork ribs, marinated pork and beef. We had complimentary eggs (gyeranjim) and after finishing our doenjang jjigae, she upgraded it to another stew FOC.

Wish we could have come here on our first day to learn how to grill the jeju way, but glad to have visited on our last day. Thank you very much,...

We came to this restaurant close to closing time and we were welcomed in as though we were the first customers that night. The service was probably the highlight- everyone was so attentive. Our main server was especially attentive and was always quick to give suggestions on how to pair the meat with the condiments they offered.
