I had a very nice dinner here, but I have two main issues with this restaurant. 1) sushi was nowhere near the quality I would expect from a place of this caliber. Fish was a little stale and rice to vinegar ratio was all wrong. 2) one of the waitresses (I think she was more junior than the other lovely woman I interacted with) kept on approaching me immediately after I took a bite of food. She came to get my plate literally the moment I took the last bit of food off of it, and asked me how it was while I was still chewing. This happened multiple times, and she brought me the bill basically together with my dessert. I felt very rushed and this really took something away from my experience. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to! The service was great and the food was excellent. Our group did a tasting menu and it was all delicious, there was a mushroom course on there and we all usually don’t like mushrooms but it was prepared in a way that almost made it taste like bulgogi so that was actually pretty good! Our group actually got diverted here after we tried to get into Yu Yuan without a reservation (make a reservation online for either of these restaurants!) and we got lucky that they had a spot for us!
