Baekgom Makgeolli — Restaurant in Seoul

Standard Korean fare BUT a very large soju and makgeoli menu. If you ever wanted to spend hundreds of thousands of won on a single bottle here's your chance.

When we got there we were not allowed to choose our own table. We asked to be seated on the balcony and were told no. Then another group came in a minute later and asked if they could be seated on the balcony and they we told "yes." There were some "reserved" placards on tables but not on the ones we were asking about.

I admittedly cheaped out and got a bottle of 참이슬 and one of the cheaper makgeoli bottles. We ate as cheaply as we could and it was still 2 만원 per person. After an hour we moved to another location.

Not a bad experience but I'd skip...

This is my favorite korean traditional rice wine bar in korea. The price is slightly price ( bottle of rice wine starts somewhere 15USD) but has the most choices of rice wine. Plus the food is really good ( 20 30 USD). I always eat Dal-gogi (first pic) which is grilled fish. Do visit if you want Korean authentic drinking...

It's called bar and brewery and it offers wide variety of craft makgeoli. But when we sat and ordered two bottles of makgeoli the waiter said we have to order something to eat. So it's not a bar after all. Let alone brewery. At best it's a a restaurant trying to capitalise on the craft brewing...
