Bar Pomme — Restaurant in Seoul

Bar Pomme gave positive first impressions but these were short lived. We waited over 20minutes for our drinks, had to remind the waiter which was met with a “oooh!” and then promptly received cocktails which had clearly been sitting for a while - the glasses had condensation and the drink tasted dilute from the ice melting. The music left a lot of be desired, Black Betty by Spiderbait, although a remix, really wasn’t for an appropriate sound mix for a distinguished bar. The truffle salted pepitas were a delicious snack, and the decor was very tasteful. I’m usually more of a classic cocktails guy, but I came here there a string of recommendations. Those can be dicey from time to time, but this bar does things with diligence and care that I appreciate, and its quality shines through what might be a bustling crowd. The atmosphere is a little more busy than a strict Japanese style bar and a little more chill than some of the more touristy places, just enough such that you’d likely have to raise your voice a little to converse with your party, but comfortably so.

we made a reservation for the bar counter seats(highly recommended) via catch table after getting a recommendation from our korean friend! It was a very chill, calm and classy atmosphere. the lady bartender is super friendly, knowledgeable, skillful and kind. you could tell that she served with her heart 🥰 i got the southside breakfast(a little too strong for my medium alcohol tolerance haha) and margherita, my partner got the sour yoo and the lady bartender recommended the pear soda too. we loved the pear soda and margherita a lot 💓 overall a...
