One of my friends referred this restaurant when we are planning to have nice Korean BBQ as soon as getting off from the plane.
This place has been selected by Michellin guide for 8 years in a row (first year 2017 they got 1 star) and it made us so excited.
When we arrived here, the manager who could speak in English had us a large table for party of 6 and explained about the menu. All the meat they handle were black kettles from Jeju island and also they had their own farm for good quality of the meat.
We ordered premium sirloin, aged premium tenderloin, rib eye cap, chuck flap tail, and outside skirt as the manager recommended and mentioned those were dry aged for 90 days and that was one of the reason why many people visited.
All the dishes come with some sides such as assorted chive salad, some veggies for wrapping the meat (they don't have lettuce what made me sad) and kimchi which tasted really good.
The servers offered grilling service and everyone was so kind even they couldn't speak English (the manager helped them every time we had communication issue so no worries). All foods come on time and tasted so amazing. I could smell and taste what it was like cheese and it was because of the method how they aged the meat.
Don't forget to ask them if they have some specials. They will give you steamed egg or a glass of wine with no charge.
They also helped us to call a cap for going back to the hotel we stayed.
Overall, everything was perfect and I would like to visit here again.

Read moreTraveling through Seoul on our trip around the globe this holiday season. We dined at Boreumsae on Sunday, Dec 29th, 2024. A few other tables had people, but we were able to get seated right away. This was at about 7:30 - 8pm.
There were a few cuts of the dry aged that were sold out already for the day, but that wasn't a problem for me, since they still had the ribeye. We ended up going with 2 x dry aged Sirloin (61000 won per 150g) and 1 x wet aged Ribeye (79000 won per 150g). Then we got the 2 x Bulgoggi and mushrooms a la carte as that is made into a soup and a good fit for our girls too.
Thankfully the staff actually cooked the meat at our table for us, to perfection. Sliding a few pieces to our plates at a time so we also had a hot bite of steak. It would just melt in your mouth, incredible.
The side salads were fantastically dressed, I preferred the spicier one. The tomato with jelly fish was a delight and such a surprise, as I'd never thought of eating jellyfish before.
They brought us little Häagen-Dazs ice creams for dessert,, maybe the only criticism I'd have about a Michelin star restaurant. I expected some kind of elevated dessert, but there was not a dessert selection that I was aware of at all, just the four little ice creams. By this point we were adequately full, since our little ones didn't eat that much bulgoggi so my wife and I had to help them to finish as well.
