박서방순대국밥 — Restaurant in Seoul

We're tourists visiting from Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺🦘. My wife and I accidentally stumbled across this place last night whilst searching for a local traditional eatery. Not sure if the guy was the owner or the manager but he was very welcoming, kind and patient, as well as the staff. When he realized we couldn't speak or read Korean Hangul he dug out an english menu they had somewhere and took the time to help us with selecting and made some recommendations. When the food arrived this gentleman went above and beyond to show us how to prepare and eat the pork dish, which seems to be their speciality. It was definitely the most satisfying and wholesome meal we've had since arriving in South Korea, and the pricing we didn't even spend much at all. The atmosphere felt like you were dining in surrounded by the locals which tells you you know you came to the right place. I hope we come back here before we leave South Korea. From now on whenever I think of Korean food, I will think of this place, as it's now my favourite Korean dish and restaurant. Thank you...

One of the oldest and self own (not one of those new franchises) blood sausage stew in Samseong dong area, Gangnam district. All ingredients (pig guts) are fresh and chewy, and less fatty noticeably different from others. All the banchan (kimchi, shrimp sauce, green chili, marinated chives) is prepared or managed by the own chefs, enriches the overall flavors of the dishes served. 사무실에서 코엑스 방향으로 넘어가면 박서방순대국밥 삼성본점. 11시30분 넘어가면 사람들이 줄을 서기 시작한다.

오픈은 10시이고 22시까지 운영하고 중간 브레이크타임은 15시30분부터 16시30분까지임. 일요일만 정기 휴무이니 참고하세요.

점심 주메뉴는 순대국밥으로 만원, 순대정식은 1.3만원. 저녁에는 머리고기 19,000원, 오소리감투 12,000원, 모듬순대는 중이 30,000원.

자리에 앉아서 주문하면 밥공기를 하나 주는데 이게 물컵임. 아마도 예전에 밥공기를 쓰던 것인데 밥을 토렴해서 주니 버리긴 아깝고 물컵으로 쓰는 듯 싶음. 기본 반찬으로 부추무침, 고추와 된장, 그리고 무김치 등이 나오고 국밥에 밥을 토렴해서 순대국밥이랑 같이 나옴. 순대국밥 나오면 바로 양념 조금 덜어내고 부추무침을 듬뿍 넣는다. 휘휘 저은 후에 고기와 순대랑 같이 무김치를 먹으면 됨. 다만 오늘 먹은 무김치는 제대로 익지를 않아서 깊은 맛이 없었음. 오히려 고추를 된장 찍어 먹으니 이게 별미인데 된장이 맛있음. 맛있게 먹었는데 최상의 맛은 아님. 근처에 있는 농민백암순대나 신대방에 있는 서일순대국 보다는 아쉬움.

11시30분 넘어가니 사람들이 줄 서기 시작했고, 추우니깐 사장님이 식당 안에서 대기 인원이 들어올 수 있도록 함. 밥 먹는데 사람들이 쳐다보는 것 같은데 묵묵히 천천히 잘 먹고 나옴. 먹고 나오니 밖에도 사람들이 꽤 많이 기다리고 있음. 일단 식당 매장 크기가 작다보니 사람들이 많이 서 있고 그러다보니 사람들이 더 모이는 선순환이 이뤄지는 것 같고 먹다 보니 사람들이 더 많이 모이게 된...
