Chang Chang Restaurant is famous on Instagram and other social media for its Namsan view during the day and Hong Kong night market vibe at night. I took a local bus and got off at Naksan Intersection and walked for about 10 minutes to get here. The road was uphill, so I felt like I had exercised before eating. Just as rumored, Chang Chang Restaurant had a Hong Kong vibe, from the exterior to the interior decorations. And it even had a great Namsan view! The road to the restaurant was a bit rough, but it was worth the effort. I visited without a reservation at 11:30 AM, the opening time. I was the first customer, so I was able to sit at a window table with a view of Namsan. I ordered Guo Bao Rou and Yanjin Beer. The crispy and chewy texture of the Guo Bao Rou was good, and I tried Yanjin Beer for the first time on the recommendation of the staff, and it was a beer that went very well with Chinese food. The taste of the beer was similar to Tsingtao Beer. After I had meal in a great atmosphere, I walked back toward Dongdaemun Station, but the road was a series of winding, steep downhill slopes, so I felt like I was exercising again. I wore comfortable sneakers and didn‘t have trouble walking, but ladies, if you wear high heels to Chang Chang Restaurant, you will...
Read moreAmazing food! The food menu is a one pager with the second page a drinks menu. We ordered five dishes. I had a chance to photograph two of the dishes. Spicy chicken is great. Jajangmyeon and Tangsuyuk w/ roasted garlic slices were my favorite (pics). This place is on a hill/ side of a mountain. A pay parking lot is available down the road. Our visit was rainy so the outside was unavailable. The view is fantastic, rain or shine. No idea how much it cost but it was reasonably spilt among our party of ten. Bonus points for the decorations. If you go here and do not like it, we...
Read moreI like this place. Very casual but hipster vibe. Very instagrammable place. Nice view and unique interiors.

You can reserve a place ahead of time but I didn’t have to wait. It was Saturday afternoon.
I would like...
