Woo Mool Zip is an amazingly beautiful, tranquil spot tucked away on a hillside—worth visiting for the view alone. It truly feels like stepping into another world, full of peace and Zen. We made a reservation in advance, and we strongly recommend you do the same, as the space is quite intimate and clearly popular.
When we arrived, we were asked to choose our meal at the check-in counter before being shown to our private dining space. Several options were available, and we opted for the set menu, which offered a great variety and felt thoughtfully curated.
The seating area was a cozy, traditional Korean setup with a low table and floor cushions, placed by a large window overlooking the outside —calm, scenic, and perfect for relaxing.
The meal was prepared right in front of us, and everything was fresh, balanced, and beautifully presented. Watching the food come together, cooked according to tradition, added a special, personal touch to the experience.
The atmosphere throughout was quiet and peaceful, and the staff were super kind and helpful, and never rushed us. It was the perfect place to unwind, enjoy great food, and have a conversation without distractions.
Ours was a truly memorable dining experience—we’re so glad we visited, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a traditional and scenic...
Read moreI went to the restaurant for lunch but the guy at the desk said they were fully booked. I asked him if i could book a table for dinner directly with him then. He said it was not possible and that I had to book it via the Catch Table app. I found that ridiculous since I was right there but anyways… I immediately downloaded the app but couldn’t find the restaurant on the app… I asked him again if it was possible to book directly with him for one person for lunch the next day. Again, he said it was not possible but I insisted so he took my details and said he’d get back to me. He eventually got back to me the next day saying “sorry, not possible, we’re full!”. Not giving up, I asked him if I could make a reservation for the next day or the day after for either lunch or dinner. He replied “sorry, can’t! It’s full!” When I dropped by the restaurant it was clearly not full. I guess the staff just didn’t want to bother with a foreigner. The food may be good but I guess I’ll never know! If you’re a foreigner, unless you do find the restaurant on the Catch Table app, don’t bother! I recommend Oncheonjib in Ikseondong. The food is delicious and if you do not have a Korean number or the catch table app, they DO take...
Read moreWoo Mool Zip is located at the top of the hill, we took a car up (thankfully) as we didn’t realize how steep it was to get up there.
Once you arrive, you will see a quaint stone house, with a restaurant in it. It is designed to make you feel like you’re not in the city life, think Japanese Kyoto vibes. The restaurant was tastefully and well designed, and each group gets a private little area to dine in.
We went for lunch, and ordered the lunch sets. We went for the beef sukiyaki and the spicy tomato beef stew, as well as the tomato basil rice, and the seafood rice. The stone rice was soooo good.
I had a very pleasant dining experience. Helps that you can take a walk down the Naksan trail to sightsee and walk off your...
