Everything Bagel — Restaurant in Seoul

I discovered this gem of a bagel shop randomly back in early 2020 when I was living in Seoul for a bit. I am from Jersey City and immediately recognized the taste of a proper NY bagel after my first bite of the cream cheese and lox. The Snapple iced teas are great as well. This had me wondering about the place as the owner also tended to sport a NY Mets cap. I asked if he was from NYC and it turned it he is. I told him I appreciated his shop since I'm from across the river. I was delighted to hear him say he was familiar with my hometown as his uncle used to run a church in Jersey City. I found out later he started the shop because he got tired of not having good bagels in Korea. Anyway, you can't go wrong with any of the bagel or cream cheese choices here. Small shop mostly for takeout orders. An American woman came behind me and put her stuff on the only table which was frustrating since there were 2 of us and we had planned to sit down to eat but wanted to order first. Staff never asked us if we wanted to eat there or not and after traveling for 40 min just to try the famous rainbow bagel it was a disappointing experience.

The bagel was ok. The rainbow style is really nothing special and the everything topping bagel lacked flavour. The cream cheese was also under seasoned and didn't taste like scallions and reinforced that Montreal bagels are superior in taste and texture. Overall not worth it unless you're in the area and need a bagel.

One of the best bagels I have had in South Korea. I am from New York, and bagels from there have a certain taste and this place has it. The owner is from New York and is super friendly. I highly recommend coming here if you want a proper bagel. They have a good selection of cream cheese and breakfast sandwiches. They also have some good brewed coffee.
