Dear kervan express. I am really thankful for your sincere apology for what i had experienced in the restaurant at that night. I do believe that almost all the staffs there are not racists at all and do welcome diversity. However, I found there's room for improvement when it comes to a staff who was there at dawn to last sunday. I could not keep myself from feeling embarrassed at the moment i was told 'don't ever come back here again' by a staff when all i had done was to ask the staff if he had given me a right portion. Moreover, he kept talking to me in korean when i don't look korean at all while talking in english to other foreigners who look western rather than asian. As you told me that the restaurant has staffs from Pakistan, North Africa, etc., staffs can be sensitive about racism towards non-white western people but not to asians like me, especially south-east asians. I want to say sorry for a littie bit exaggerated expression that i used before. However, I want proper customer service education to be made on the staff. Thanks for...
Read moreI’ve been to many different countries, but unfortunately, this was by far the worst Turkish restaurant I’ve experienced. I understand that every country interprets cuisines differently, but for me, this had very little to do with authentic Turkish food.
First of all, the restaurant was quite empty, so the blonde waitress didn’t seem to have much to do. However, I found it very uncomfortable and unfriendly that she stared at me for 15 minutes straight while I was looking at the menu and deciding what to order, without looking away once. It felt very intrusive.
The drinks lacked carbonation, as they were from a machine similar to McDonald’s, which is unacceptable for the price they charge. The meat was decent overall, except for the chicken, which was inedible, as also mentioned in other reviews. We left it untouched. The rice was more in an Asian style, but perhaps they don’t know how to prepare it differently, so I won’t comment too...
Read moreI ordered lentil soup and cheese pide from the express counter because their normal menu was done for the day. Then they told me to have a seat and pay later but after 10 mins they told me to order again because they forgot my order and to make payment right away. Then they gave me cheese pide which was nothing great at all and mushroom soup without telling me anything. I went to the counter and asked why i got mushroom soup and they said the lentil soup finished. What makes them think I would like mushroom soup instead? They don’t consider maybe I’m allergic to mushrooms? They didn’t even offer to refund at first and just said it’s all they have. And I explained myself that I don’t want mushroom soup. An English speaking waiter then came to my table and asked if I wanted to refund the mushroom soup and I said it’s okay because they ruined my experience entirely. It was expensive for what tasted like it came out of a can....
