Solid 3 maybe 3.5 on a good day with favorable winds.
Chips with salsa to start was good. Chips really good, salsa meh.
Had fajitas (chicken and steak) steak was anywhere from well done to rare on the same plate. Flavor was good but a bit bland (try a bit of cumin and chili powder). Good selection of fajita fixins (beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream, a bit of pico, onions and peppers on the fajita plate), tortillas were soft and warm without being overdone and extras were available.
Koreans need to learn the art (or at least basics) of ambiance. A live mariachi band would be more foreground otherwise music is background. And I made the mistake of sitting near a gaggle of geese who think they need to honk louder the last to be heard. Colors, deco and lighting was good(4-5).
Service maybe is better from a Korean POV but it seems like COVID sent them back to the 80s. Lots of “servers”. A comparable efficient western place could have done the same work with a quarter of the staff. They were nice, polite and sufficiently competent. But lots of walking around, but not refilling, checking-in, seeing-the-need. I always thought Seoul was more foreigner-friendly (than other Korean cities) but they seemed afraid of me, uncertain of what to do and overall timid.
Overpriced, about 15-20% and for that price you think customers could get a real napkin instead of the tissue squares.
And, as others mentioned, getting the check mid-meal was weird. I wasn’t asked, “Would you like dessert?” or “더 필요한 거 있으세요” just, “Here’s your hat, what’s your hurry?” I might go back, with a...
Read moreThe taco salad was very good here. I recommend you order this item. The salad was huge and had plenty of lettuce—it might sound weird but I have had plenty of salads that skimped on the lettuce. They were generous with the toppings and there was plenty of flavor. I got the jalapeño vinagrette. It wS much different than expected. It was to the sweet side and not spicy at all. Although it wasn’t what I expected, it went reasonably well with the salad, just pulled it to the sweet side a bit. I ordered a burrito for take out once and was disappointed, but the taco salad was great. The other dishes at the table looked nice as well. Maybe eating n the restaurant provides a better experience and better food quality. The complimentary...
Read moreFor a chain restaurant, the food was so not up to it's standard, I don't think... 1. Tortilla must've been heated up in the microwave, as middle was greyish and too soft that they all stuck to each other. 2. So many employees yet no one comes by to ask if anything else is needed. Once you get your food, it's all on you to hail down someone if you need anything else. 3. The steak in fajita tasted awful. Cheap cut that smelled and tasted gamey... if they didn't charge so much,.I'd even understand but they charge over 50,000 for the ultimate fajita. 4. Rice and bean was so bland... 5. Tortilla chips were the best part...
