🐷 – A Culinary Experience Beyond BBQ

One-liner: “This place isn’t just a BBQ restaurant — it’s a culinary experience and a piece of art.”

📍Location & Atmosphere

Located in the heart of Itaewon, Pig Restaurant No. 2 makes a bold impression the moment you walk in. With an open kitchen, warm lighting, and tasteful interior design, this spot is perfect for dates or chill hangouts with friends. It’s cozy, stylish, and instantly Instagram-worthy.

🥩 Meat Quality? Next Level.

The marbling on the beef? Insane. Thick slices with rich flavor and a melt-in-your-mouth texture — it’s the kind of meat that makes you pause mid-bite and say, “Wow.”

Bonus points for the garlic and green onion toppings served with it — seriously genius pairing.

Once grilled to perfection, the meat hits that magical “crispy outside, juicy inside” combo. I kept thinking, “How did I not know about this place sooner?”

🥗 Side Dishes & Presentation: Simply Impeccable

The side dishes aren’t your average Korean BBQ fare. You get a perfect variety — aged kimchi, pickled perilla leaves, radish wraps, fermented seafood, wasabi, and more.

Presented on a beautiful triangular tray, the setup feels straight out of a fine-dining restaurant. Every bite is a flavor bomb. My reaction? “Okay… this is the real deal.”

💬 Service & Attention to Detail

The staff were amazing — friendly, attentive, and even helped grill the meat with finesse. As a first-time guest, I felt completely taken care of.

From the paper aprons to the thoughtfully curated sauces, it’s clear they put their heart into the customer experience.

✅ Final Verdict

Ambience: 10/10

Meat Quality: 10/10

Side Dish Presentation: 10/10

Service: 10/10

If you're looking for a BBQ spot in Itaewon — this is it. A perfect mix of style, flavor, and comfort. Amazing for photos, unforgettable for your taste buds.

I’ll definitely...

PIG RESTAURANT 2: SEOUL’S PORK REVOLUTION📍 Itaewon | ✦✦✦✦✦ (5/5)

🔥 THE MEAT Forget everything you know about Korean BBQ. Their 28+ day dry-aged pork is art: Neck collar (목살). Butter-textured, smoke-kissed crust. Jowl (항정살). Silken fat meets audacious chew. Why it wins? Time. Aging transforms pork into umami bombs -charred outside, blush-pink inside.

🎭 THE SHOW The owner isn’t cooking - he’s conducting: Scissors flash! Tongs dance! Teaches perfect pairings: "This cut with shrimp paste + perilla… that with kimchi brine." Refills materialize before you ask. Crowded? He treats you like royalty.

💥 THE VIBE Steamy, loud, packed - real Itaewon energy. No frills, all thrills.

💰 DAMAGE ₩25,000–₩40,000 (~€17-€28) Insane value. Pays for itself in first bite.

📜 The Verdict (From One Chef to Another) 돼지 래스토랑 둘째 doesn’t serve food - it serves epiphanies.

Why it eclipses others: Aging Program. Most BBQ joints grill fresh meat; here, time is the secret ingredient. Technical Grace. Fire control + cut selection = textbook perfection. Heart. The owner’s pride in his craft is palpable. You taste it.

I’d book a flight to Seoul for this alone. Cancel your fancy reservations - this is where culinary souls are forged.

Pro Tips from the Kitchen ORDER: Aged Neck + Jowl set. Demand boss-led pairing. TIMING: Arrive at 5:30 PM or post-9 PM. Queues move fast, but patience rewards. DRINK: Cass Fresh with lemon wedge (cleanser) or soju infused with pine needles (boss’s stash). AFTER: Walk to Nori Tapas for burnt honey makgeolli.

“한 입 먹자마자 입안에서 폭죽이 터지는 맛... 세계 최고의 돼지고기.” (A flavor explosion from the first bite... the world’s finest pork).

Final Note. If this place were in Paris or Tokyo, it’d have a star. In Seoul, it has something better:...

Service was quick and sajangnim was super friendly! As soon as he cooked the meat for us, he showed us various ways to pair our meat with the side dishes. I think there were a total of 5 ways of eating and oh boy, it sure did unlock some flavours I had never had before in my KBBQ quest. The thing about having all various recommended ways of eating, it gives you more options to try when you're bored of eating in a certain way.

We ordered a kimchi jiggae and naengmyeon and was told how it was best paired with. Oh boy, again, those pairings were spot on. Their kimchi jiggage was probably the best I had so far! Be sure to order this, you won't be disappointed.

It's been almost a week I have left Seoul and yet as I am writing this review, I'm still thinking about this restaurant. The service, the food and the atmosphere, it's definitely a 10/10 from me.

Price wise, I think they are very reasonable with their pricing and this made the whole experience perfect!

Sajangnim, you asked for an honest review and here is mine. My wife and I couldn't stop boasting about your restaurant and couldn't stop recommending our friends to visit here when they're at Seoul. And the next time when i'm back at Seoul, I'll be sure to dine...

I recently had the pleasure of dining here. Its a remarkable Korean BBQ restaurant that left an indelible impression on my taste buds and heart. From the moment I stepped inside, the friendly and welcoming service set the stage for a truly exceptional dining experience. One of the standout qualities is their commitment to quality meats. The cuts of meat they offer are of the highest caliber, perfectly marbled and tender, ensuring a mouthwatering delight with every bite. From succulent spare ribs to tantalizing pork belly, their selection is diverse, and each dish is a testament to their dedication to culinary excellence. They take it upon themselves to cook it for you at your table. This not only adds an interactive element to the dining experience but also ensures that each piece of meat is cooked to perfection. The knowledgeable staff takes the time to guide you through the process, offering valuable insights on the ideal cooking times and techniques for each type of meat. The staff goes above and beyond to provide valuable insight into the art of Korean BBQ. They willingly share their knowledge, explaining the nuances of different marinades, seasonings, and traditional side dishes. 10/10 would eat again.
