Seochon Giwajib — Restaurant in Seoul

Was really fortunate for me to find myself (& family) lunching at this place and I wished I would have ate here earlier!

This restaurant is a local eatery. I had the short ribs soup & cold noodles and they are awesomeeee. All dishes are homemade, and I love the kimchi here as it is the traditional Korean kimchi flavour (again home made) that I’ve been longing for since my 1st visit to Korea. The short rib soup is warming, delicious and flavourful, comforting in this cold weather. Besides that, most locals would just sit and dine in here, so u know that it’s not heavily “commercialised” for tourist. All of us (my kids too) loves the kimchi, anchovy and side dishes that we have top up a 2nd round. Def a place I’d love to be back during my next trip in Seoul for this...

주문 이후 음식 나오는 시간이 너무 오래걸림 이상할정도로 늦어져 문의하니 그제서야 분주해진걸 보니 주문 누락인것같음.

어찌저찌 음식은 나왔고, 받은 갈비찜에서는 소고기 누린내가 진동하여 예민한 일행은 전혀 먹지 못함.

냉면은 양도 적고, 물냉면 육수 자체가 무슨 맛인지 모르겠음.

외국인도 많이 오는 위치인데, 한식에 대한 좋지 않은 이미지를 주지 않을까 걱정됨

The food took an unreasonably long time to be served after we placed our order. When we inquired about the delay, the staff suddenly became busy, which made it seem like our order had been forgotten.

Eventually, the food came out, but the braised short ribs had a strong smell of beef fat, which made one of our sensitive companions unable to eat it at all.

The naengmyeon (cold noodles) portion was small, and the broth had no discernible flavor.

Considering this place is popular among foreigners, I’m worried it might give a poor impression of Korean cuisine.

Ordered the beef ribs and it was great! Beware, the spicy is spicy!! Get the set and do not order any more food because it comes with a bowl of cold noodles and it is a lot! The ladies don’t speak english so it was hard to communicate. But...
