SookHee — Restaurant in Seoul

Not too hard to find, but not something you would stumble upon, as it is down a nondescript alley. Drinks are fantastic, with a focus on fruits, especially what is in season. The bartenders are amazing, one spoke near fluent English and gave me sliced Korean melon after I commented how much I enjoy it. Cocktails are definitely unique (at least from an American perspective). The Korean melon cocktail was blended with ice and served with a spoon, highlighting the freshness of the melon. A must try is their tomato cocktail, tequila based and garnished with basil, it mimics the taste of a margherita pizza (I know it sounds weird, but super crisp and delicious).

Can’t say enough about the service. I stayed much longer than I intended conversing with the bartender who taught me about Korean liquors and how complex soju is, letting me sample multiple different types that I was ignorant of. I visited this place twice in a month and both visits were excellent experiences. The bartenders all have good knowledge about the spirits and catch up the customers' need very well when recommending drinks. This place is definitely one of the prettiest bars in Seoul, and really I don't really think of any downsides. There is a large selection of whiskey, their signature cocktails made of seasonal fruits are really special and refreshing. The cocktail based on the Korean spirit Hansan sogokju was well-balanced. Amazing place. I do not know how visitors find it, because it is in absolutely unnoticeable office building, without a name or any sign, but if you managed, it is one of those unique experiences you would genuinely love to check in Seoul. Cocktails are delicious, with a choice of local specific fruits and tastes, staff is so professional and passionate in explaining the ingredients and origins of drinks.
