Our first dinner in Seoul and It was a unpleasant experience, a totally different experience I had compared to the reviews here. I brought my family of 4 with 2 kids, and wanted to try all the different meat options, the lady refuse and said I cannot do that. Insist that what I am going to order is too much and told us to order 2 portion of the Marinated beef rib and the pork jowl. Despite me asking why I cannot order 1 portion of all the meats there, she just said cannot and said words in Korean, giving me an unhappy look. She was rushing us to quickly eat the meal and when we finished the meat, we wanted to try the Octopus, beef tripe and prawn hotpot. The same lady and Korean man kept telling me that it's very spicy and told me no. I got upset and I said, just bring it. The hotpot soup is tasty but tasted like Indian curry. Overall bill was 119000 won. 2x 33000 (beef ribs) 2x16000 (pork jowl)
I have taken alot of kbbq and this is the first time I am not allowed to try all the options on the menu and having the staff telling me that what I ordered is too much.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the experience I encountered at this place. Non of the staff speaks English and they dun even try.
It will be the first and last time for me and my family to...
Read moreDid not have the same experience as another English speaker. He is correct, the staff doesn’t speak very much to any English (but that’s our problem not theirs). The wait staff was extremely courteous to us.
Had no problems ordering off the menu. I do think one of the issues is that they use different grills for different meat (pork on gas and beef on charcoal). Not sure if they don’t normally switch meats/grills, but they certainly accommodated us.
The banchan here if you get the BBQ is top tier. Spicy marinated crabs along with chawanmushi. Soups/stews here are also delicious and...
Read moreI always stay at the hotel 50 meters away, so this is how I was engaged with this Korean traditional restaurant. The owner can only speak little English, but he is very friendly and also hires some waitresses who are Chinese.
The business is very good, but fortunately they have two floors which are spacious enough to accommodate a great number of customers.
BBQ can only be ordered with at least 2 portions of the same type of meat. The price of one portion starts from somewhere around KRW$16,000.
Good dinning atmosphere which can make people can feel a bit Korean style...
