We are very fond of indian cuisine. We go every week, sometimes even twice a week. Have a couple of favourite places here in the south which we visit constantly. Then we got lead to this place. Wow, what a find. Went there twice already and the place firmly established itself as No. 1 in our Top 3 indian restaurants in the area. The currys are exactly as they should be. Also the veggie options (channa, bhindi) are cooked to perfection. As I usually go for very spicy ("indian spicy", "phall spicy" as some call the max level). Being used to cooking for western palates, the level-keeping is not very consistent so sometimes can be satisfying, sometimes not so much. I was adviced that next time to order "phall extreme", which I plan to. The waiter is veeery nice, always smilung, nice to kids, very attentive to details. You get easy and cheap parking underground. The prices are very good, definitely under more pretentious, yet dissapointing options. The only downside is, at peak (british not spanish) dinner time, the place fills up quickly and takes a while for the food order to arrive. If you have not yet, give it a try. It's all worth it. We'll...
Read moreWe travel to India on a regular basis and like to have a European Indian from time to time. Watching the rates on Google we went for Indian Village. First impression was that it was clean and tidy. Also the person attending to us was friendly and tidily dressed. We ordered a chicken tikka and Bombay chat for starters. It took some time to come out (while we were the second table) which I find a good sign, meaning the food is prepared fresh. It was not clay oven tikka but still very tender and the chat was tasty. Next we ordered two curry's, a Dahl, a naan and pilau rice. You could select any sauce and any level of spice, the food came out fresh and looking great. We passed by some other Indian restaurants on our way here and were very happy we went with this one. You can sit outside, a lower level than the street so no cars immediately...
Read moreWe walked past this place on the way to get food lastnight, the guy who gave us a leaflet said it’s best Indian in tenerife. We was quite sceptical due to the price it said on the leaflet. £13.50 each for starter main and side. We carried on walking and came across another Indian ( no one was inside) checked prices and they were expensive. So we headed back to the Indian village restaurant and thought we would try. Wow we wasn’t disappointed at all. The food was fresh, hot & delicious. Thanks again we...
