The Beach at Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife — Restaurant in Adeje

Hard Rock Hotel - Cockroach infestation for a start. I understand some countries have more than others but we had 9 that we visually saw and took photos and videos of in our room. We was moved room on the first night in the same building at 3am and could not sleep the whole night. We then came down to be told our next room wouldn't be free until 3pm when neither of us had slept or showed or anything since being up all night and the night before getting our flight there. The rooms felt so unclean and dirty even though they were decorated nicely. There were cockroaches in the spa, all of the bars, the toilets and more. The food was absolutely horrific it was absolutely disgraceful, we tried so many times to eat it but it was making us feel physically sick so even though we stayed here for 10 nights it was the worse 10 nights of my whole life. We never ate here once and had to spend all our money on restaurants out (btw there are no good ones in the area) so we had to pay for cabs into las americas and back every single day. Finally the stuff I left in the cockroach infested room on the first night was all chucked in the bin when I looked for it at lost and found. We explained our issues to front desk who have not offered any sort of compensation or apology. Came on holiday to feel relaxed and I’m leaving feeling more drained. From the entrance you can see that this place it is not managed accordingly to the number of stars. Beautiful place but no service,one bar for so many people and you have to wait at the bar around 15-20 minutes to order. So if you want to have 3 drinks you lose around one hour just waiting. This is not the service you expect from a 5 star hotel. We have asked one of the guys to bring us a sun umbrella. Actually he was rhe only one looking after the whole place.He brought us the umbrella but you can notice that he was bothered because we have asked. It is hard to accept the €5, which is charged for the bread, which is served without asking. This isn't a local standard in Spain (different than the "coperta" which is typical for Italy or Greece) and didn't happen to us anywhere else on the island either. Most people here are on all-inclusive, so they're not bothered (or take the €60 daily budget to offset). Service is fast and exceptionally friendly, but the policy is simply poor. Food lacks a bit of taste for the price point, but for a pool-restaurant, there's no high standard.
