Initially, I was incredibly excited to try this restaurant having seen the rave reviews. The food here was good, however, the service was absolutely appalling.
Myself, my partner and two friends came to this restaurant, we waited 15 minutes before having to request if we could order drinks from the staff, in response we were met with a very rude demeanour from our waiter. It wasn’t until an extra 5 minutes later that they took our drinks order. In this time, we saw many new tables arrive and be served ahead of us.
Following this, we had asked if we could order the food with the drinks, as we knew our orders and thought it would speed things up, we were told no. Not entirely sure why, but this particular waiter wouldn’t allow us. After half an hour in the restaurant, we did finally order, but the waiter remained very hostile.
One of the orders was a paneer masala, they instead served a paneer korma - which isn’t the end of the world, but it would have been nice to be served what was requested. The food was nice, but wouldn’t recommend based on the service of this...
Read moreHaving travelled extensively through India I have a pretty good idea in what constitutes a good curry, this place does not do good curry. We had poppadoms for starters and although stated it would come with pickles there was a distinct lack of pickles, only mango chutney, mint and yoghurt and a red salsa were provided. We then went onto onion bhajee and chicken pakora which were both mediocre at best, the bhaji was almost onion free. My wife loves butter chicken and as its so highly rated here she went for that and I went for the chicken masala, we were slightly concerned when they asked how hot we wanted the butter chicken, we asked for mild as it's supposed to be but when it came it still had quite a kick to it. The meal was disappointing as a whole as the flavour was lacking and it all seemed to be heat rather than taste, to make things worse everything including the roti seemed to be exceedingly greasy. This is not authentic Indian cuisene. To make things worse we paid €50 for the pleasure for...
Read moreLet me start by saying it’s really difficult to find a quality curry outside of the UK and I’ve tried a lot. There are a lot of people who will disagree but unless you’ve had a curry in the UK you won’t know what I mean so reserve judgement until You do. So I was extremely, and more importantly happily, surprised to find this place really ticked the boxes. It was clean and fresh, the staff were really friendly and the food was beautiful. I could have happily given this 5 stars. I had the chicken tikka masala with keemer rice and a garlic naan. The only reason for 4 stars is my girlfriend found her chicken biryani lacking a bit in flavour. She still enjoyed it and we’ve agreed we’ll be going back before we head home and we’ll both be having the chicken tikka masala 👌🏽 definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking for something different to your all...
