I really can't understand how this place has such good reviews, maybe we visited on a bad night. To start with you arrive at the Hard Rock Hotel with no idea where to go and after asking hotel staff you eventually find that a guy dressed up as a chef holding a giant carrot will come and find you and ask you to wait 20 minutes in a not very pleasant bar area. Why not have a proper meet and greet area, with perhaps a glass of prosecco to get the evening off to a good start. Eventually we were taken for a walk in the dark to a small restaurant around the back. Initial impression was quite good, with projectors over each table - although it's advertised as a 3D experience, which it isn't, we were expecting some projection mapping onto 3D objects, but it was 2D projection on to the table - effective, but not what was promised. Appetiser of serrrano ham, manchego and a bit of salad was OK, but could have done with a bit of dressing on the salad. Then the projector over our table packed up, from then on it was a total disaster. Mario, the head guy, spent ages trying to sort it out, at one point turning off the whole system. After 20 mins or so he gave up and moved us to another tabke, which ended up being a good move as we met some really nice folk from Glasgow and Cornwall. However, clearly no-one told the chef about the delays as we were eventually served up cold pasta followed by cold sirloin steak and cold chips. Shame, as when it was cooked it probably would have tasted good. Mario apologised and offered us free drinks, which we assumed would mean we would get our drinks for free, but he turned up with another bottle of wine, which we really didn't want. When the bill came for the full amount us and a few other tables complained and they eventually have us 30% off, but it wasn't enough for the bad experience we had. We couldn't be bothered to argue as it was our first day and we'd been up since 4am. We can't recommend this place at all, Mario made a good effort, but when things go wrong they need to take responsibility.

Two little grumbles, then we can talk about this fabulous experience. Firstly we’re told to arrive at 19:30 so we do, but we’re not taken to the dining room until 20:05 and nor are we offered an aperitif to keep us happy whilst we wait. Second the inter-course muzak drove me mad - 16 bars repeating many times really isn’t fun for this particular writer! Every other aspect of the Le Petit Chef experience, however, is a lot of fun, if not the fine dining we’re promised. At the outset we’re asked to keep the table free of personal items - why, because it’s the stage, and within moments we’re treated to a projected garden scene, complete with greenhouse, vegetable plot and a pesky mole. The little chef goes about his business, thwarted by Mr Mole’s behaviour until the final explosion reveals a plate, which is soon substituted by the real thing, our first course is a whole burrata with pesto dressing and perfect salad accompaniments. Next we’re seeing chef arrive via submarine into a marine setting, his antics include snaring a lobster, fortunate since no sooner is it cooked by underwater explosion, that the real thing is delivered. It would have benefited from being loosened from its shell before service. A grill is the theme of the next video, with accompaniments close enough to the soon arriving pavé of beef fillet, which like all the courses so far is plentiful and delicious. We’re treated to two desert videos, not quite sure why, but the final one mimics the crème brûlée which arrives moments later, yet again very good. It’s a delight to hear that the couple at the only other table in use has respectively proposed and accepted! The evening completes with a trip to the fire-pit atop the south tower, where we enjoy a large cava as the final part of the experience. The service from Mario, who combines food, wine and master of ceremonies roles is excellent and we can definitely recommend this experience at Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife.

This place is a complete SCAM/Tourist trap of the worst kind. First nothing of what was promised was actually delivered. 3D animation? 2D computer generated animations on your table cloth but for sure not 3D as advertised. High end menu? sorry but any of the restaurant in front of the hotel will give me better food. Of the 4 courses we got, the first was a bowl of grass with no dressing (completely tasteless), the second was the omnipresent mushroom ravioli that you can find in any Italian restaurant on the island, then a fillet (they never bothered to ask how we wanted it cooked, mine was medium rare, my wife got it well cooked) with french fries that you can find in any Canarian Asador, and finally the only dish that was at the level of the prices, the dessert. Special mention, not a single shred of decoration on the dishes which I thought was standard practice in such restaurants. But the surprises don't end here. There is absolutely no view of the outside, its extremely noisy because behind the curtains there is another restaurant with around 30 tables so you then realize you are sharing kitchen and toilets with all this people (yeah the 4 chefs having a competition is total BS). Last but not least, as soon as you finish eating everyone is rushed to the roof without the chance of having a coffee or resting a bit, instead right on the roof with wind and cold. This place is absolutely not worth of your consideration and if you think on trying it maybe you should try instead the Indian restaurants just outside the hotel, better service and quality!!!!

What a MAGICAL experience for children and adults of all ages! We were a party of two adults and 2 children who came all the way from Hawaiʻi!

Only three issues and everything else is fab: 1. It is not very clear the exact location of the event. I found out the hard way! We almost canceled going and forfeiting our 100 euro deposit because of this! Le petite chef doesn't give refunds so make sure you are at the correct venue. The venue is at the HARD ROCK HOTEL in paradiso. NOT AT THE HARD ROCK CAFE! Thank god I was able to contact the reception at the HARD ROCK HOTEL who informed me that this happens all the time and that she would let the staff know that we were on our way. When we arrived, we found out from other hotel staff that this happens all the time as the instructions about the venue is confusing and not clear. They told us other people were also late and in our situation for tonights reservation. Hearing this "normal" news made us very upset and it appears a bit misleading and fraudulent of the le petite chef company in order to make a quick buck and keep peoples deposits. They really need to fix this. That's a horrible and sneaky way to make profit off of clients!

They want you to come 30 mins before the reservation. Thank goodness I guess we were late because upon arrival those who showed up on time looked really annoyed and angry as the event doesnt start until 830 since people need to get drinks. Thats a full hour of waiting! Yikes! The transition of each course is super long. A good 15 to 20 minutes waiting. Too long.

The meal is a bit pricey. I think drinks should be included. Or at least make the price of alcohol less than 30 euros please! And the children at least should have free soda refills.

On a good note...EXCELLENT digital show. Lots of laughs, very cute and good food. Most of all. MARIO AND HIS ASSISTANT LUIGI JR are awesome and professional and lots of fun. They really took care of us from beginning to end. Especially our boys. We were very impressed by their kindness and professionalism. The finale on the rooftop overlooking 360 degrees of the city along with the free glass of champagne and juice for the children was so fun. To top.it all off, we got to enjoy the fireworks and great music from the live dj! I would definitely do this again.

This show is a must see! You wont regret it. Everyone leaves with smiles and a...
