Sa Mossegada in Alcudia's old town surpassed all our expectations and treated us to an unforgettable dining experience. The moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with genuine warmth and received top-notch service throughout our visit. The restaurant's Mediterranean-inspired atmosphere offers a choice of seating areas, both equally captivating. We opted for a table in the front, where we could soak in the lively ambience and indulge in some people-watching. However, I couldn't help but be captivated by the enchanting walled courtyard at the back, adorned with twinkling lights, creating an utterly magical setting for a romantic dinner. The service at Sa Mossegada was outstanding. The attentive staff effortlessly struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and allowing us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. Their friendly demeanour and knowledgeable suggestions added to the overall charm of the experience. Now, let's talk about the food. Sa Mossegada specializes in Spanish and Mallorca cuisine, and their expertise shines through every dish. We opted to try their mixed paella, which turned out to be a culinary masterpiece. The portion size was generous, ensuring we had plenty to savour. Each spoonful revealed the authentic flavours of Spain, transporting us to the sun-soaked shores of Mallorca. We paired our meal with a bottle of local red wine, elevating the experience even further. The restaurant's location on the pedestrian streets of Alcudia's old town is nothing short of picturesque. Sa Mossegada seamlessly blends into the charm and character of the area, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the local ambience. I must note that while the staff was attentive and eager to enhance our experience, there were moments when their enthusiasm felt slightly overwhelming. They enthusiastically recommended additional dishes, even though we were already content after devouring the delightful paella. I've attached a photo from our visit, capturing the inviting atmosphere of Sa Mossegada. It's a place that perfectly balances an authentic Spanish dining experience with the comforts of a warm, welcoming environment. In conclusion, I highly recommend Sa Mossegada to anyone seeking an extraordinary culinary journey in Alcudia's old town. With its welcoming ambience, attentive service, and mouth-watering Spanish and Mallorca dishes, this hidden gem truly delivers an unforgettable experience. Whether you choose to dine indoors or bask in the romantic courtyard, Sa Mossegada is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.

Walking past the place when walking around Alcudia, we were temped but decided to walk around. We found that a lot of places that were full looked mediocre or were just too touristy. We nearly ended up elsewhere but the place was full. Decided then too spontaneously come back to Sa Mossegada. After sitting down only had we read the reviews and were a bit worried as some recent ones were quiet negative. Luckily, none of it was true in our case. The place has an absolutely stunning back garden with a separate bar, surrounded by medieval walls. Waitresses were very nice, mostly prompt, with a little wait, but nothing out of ordinary. We ordered a few starters and tapas and all were hot, tasty and plenty. 5 of them between us filled us completely. Worth adding that we do eat a lot and have completed a 30km run beforehand... We had a nice bottle of wine, one dessert with a coffee and paid an absolutely decent €90. It was a great experience overall and I can wholeheartedly recommend the place.

Review 06/2025 with menu prices - instantly got the german version of the menu (special tourist prices...), without asking (eventhough the conversation, from start, was made in spanish with the staff) *felt kind of discriminating ...ironically the waitress told that can spanish & english ... * at the entrance the menu is displayed in spanish with subtitle in english :) - outside seating with shadow from the tried and plante, with views of the town walls

We felt scammed! First the ultimately joke „Gambas Ajillo“ = 8 Medium sized Garlic Shrimps for 17,90€… and „Albondigas“ = 8 Meat Balls as Tapas without anything! 10,50€ Just the 8 meatballs in sauce, no side dishes whatsoever as it’s usually known for Tapas. When we asked the waitress about it, she said side dishes for Tapas need to be ordered additionally for extra money.

Overall poorly described menu lists, as nothing of this was mentioned. The only positive thing about this place was the comfortable chair. Service was so so, the waitresses became very quickly insecure when she don’t understand something.

Nobody knows that the portions of main dishes have the size of a starter. You should mention important details in the damn menu. Last time we went there 👎 There are way better locations for better price nearby...
