Bon Gust — Restaurant in Alcúdia

I came here last night with my sister , friend and her little boy, the waiters were friendly But the atmosphere wasn’t nice. On arrival we were shown our table by a friendly waiter but then another family arrived. The manager (the old man- sorry I didn’t catch his name) in white shoved and moved the table with no warning to make room for the other table causing our table to push against my friends stomach. The other family apologised on the owner doing this.

The owner made the atmosphere unbearable to watch, he bossed his staff around , rushed them around with out helping he was demanding they take orders or serve people but you Could clearly see they were over run with 3 other jobs. He would pace up and down bossing them around without even helping. It was pointless him being there as they were capable of running it better.. and the atmosphere this man caused .. has made people and us not want to go back.

You could see each table was a pay check for him, he rushed people out and you could see him getting frustrated when he lost customers due to people not eating fast enough. The owner showed no respect for his staff, and needs to learn than a leader helps and guides not bosses people around! He really needs to get some leading skills.

He told some children in the next restaurant off for stepping over the barrier but their only children due to them not being at his restraunt.

The waiters did an amazing job and need more recognition from their manager. It wasn’t nice too see how over worked they was and he didn’t help x

Today, we went out to eat with friends, and we really have nothing to complain about. There were seven of us, and there was no issue with the reservation even with such a large group. We were immediately informed that the food we wanted from outside would take longer, and even so, we said it was what we wanted and ordered something to wait with. We were given a free spread beforehand due to the wait, as well as mosquito repellent, as mosquitoes started flying around and bothering everyone, which was also a nice gesture. All the dishes we ordered were worth every penny and were absolutely delicious. The service was very pleasant, with everyone being friendly, smiling, and kind. Everything was absolutely fine and at a reasonable price, so I consider this the best restaurant we’ve been to on...

Amazing place!! The big beer is only €3.50, a caña which is a half pint is €1.70, the tapas selection which is calamari, meatballs, ham croquettes, a piece of chicken in a tomato sauce, potatoes with peppers and mozzarella and padrón peppers was £11.50 for it all, great for 2 people i would say for a light lunch. Amazing service the staff were super nice and got us everything we needed and a beautiful outdoors area with umbrellas. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a drink and some tapas cheaper than other restaurants we looked at.
