Cerveseria Santa Anna — Restaurant in Alcúdia

This review will not be about food. We did not get to eat it. What I am about to describe, I am sure owners will see it differently, I am entitled to my view. We visited on a Friday, during our vacation, got a table well out of the restaurant, on the nearby municipal square. We were seated, we ordered and the food came. When we started eating, kids started playing football very close to us. After a couple of minutes, two kids ran into our table, fighting for the ball. The drinks ordered ended up in my wife's lap and part of the food. We started calling waiters for help and they said that they cannot be responsible for kids' actions. Even kids' parents came by, apologising. And we asked for the manager - asking for support and understanding, asking them how is it possible that the restaurant does not care about their guests. The manager came worked up already, said that if we did not like it, we can 'pick up our things and leave'. We were not offered even a napkin. That is the start of the escalation. It was either kids to be blamed or us. Restaurant was neither reaponsible nor helping. Things escalated quickly (involving throwing food on the floor by us and being hit with food (manager)) whom I stopped and then he asked for police, and, after the police was called in, and owner involved, we agreed for the compensation to be payment for cleaning clothes. Of course, laconic: I do not know any other cleaning place but here and similar avoidances to help were part of it. The police officer was very helpful. We had to go back to our hotel, clean, come back for a refund. And then I was met with staff which were both rude and unwilling to help, claiming they cannot reach owners and that we did a bad thing few nights back. And told us to 'try again tomorrow, they might be here'. The signal was clear. We have spoken to the police officer who helped us - fortunatelly, he left his badge number - and we got the money back the day after. The lost time and the frustrations were not taken into the account. So, ot was settled after WE had to clean it, WE had to go back and waste time from our vacation, WE had to escalate with police next day. Never got anything but the money, and policeman's time was wasted. In all, restaurant did not take any action, aside from taking cash out of their pocket. That is the crux of the problem. Now, if we were to check older bad reviews, we would have seen the same manager harassing guests. It is clear I would nerither recommend nor visit the place again. It has left a very bad taste in my mouth so early in the vacation and questioned if Mallorca was just not as welcoming as we were told. NB: edited to include the food...

I am not sure what was happening there but it was not a pleasant experience. We went in, sat down and were approached by a waiter. All good. We ordered a pint and we got it. Good one. Cold and tasty. Then when ordering another on the bar (since no one came to our table), they told us on the bar to wait so we waited. It was not crowded but it looked like the man on the bar was probably "training" a waitress and that she should handle us. She seemed stressed out very much so we waited, no problem. We got our beer after ten minutes with eyes rolled up from the staff (not sure if to us or the chaotic situation happening there). Then after the second beer we asked to pay. It seemed like there was some confusion about what we ordered too (one beer, then second,...). Lot of talking and fingerpointing at us from the staff on the bar with no explanation when we asked the waitress if it's all good, all highly unpleasant. Meantime everyone who came to the bar while we waited got served at the bar immediately without any issue and with a smile even. Then the same waiting and confusion was happening when we tried to pay. We asked and waited. Then we got the bill and waited another then minutes despite only few guests where there with us and waitress was constantly walking by. Then we simply surrendered and had to go to pay to the bar. As said, not sure what was happening but felt not pleasant or welcomed there at all because of the behaviour of the staff. Otherwise the place is cosy, looks inviting, lovely decorated, you simply want to enjoy the atmosphere and beers there. The only thing inside which needed improving were toilets which could be cleaner (urin everywhere and no toilet paper which might happened when crowded but again, at 13:00 on Thursday with only few guests...). I sincerely hope that we just probably got there in some really bad moment and wish everyone much better experience because this was highly...

AVOID AT ALL COST I do not rate this place at all. I’m not the type of person to even put reviews on. I fell over which this post was not sign posted to be careful or anything I then asked for manager he came I explained to him what had happened and started speaking off in Spanish in an aggressive tone towards me I asked him could he please speak English as I do not understand what he is saying this man than took it upon his self and thrown a bottle of water and the table flower piece at me I did not react to this I kept telling him he was a disgrace but doing this in front of our children after we just spent 180 euros as well in his place. Also trying to run towards me violently with glass in his hand while people stopped him as you can see.
