Staff were really friendly and patient when I tried to speak Spanish (I lacked practice in England). I ordered horchata de chufa (tiger nut milk) and fartons (glaced pastry). I learnt that these are traditional Valencian food and drink so it's obviously a must-try for me. My friend and I loved them! The price was reasonable too.

Highly recommended for the foodie travellers out there.

EDIT: I visited again on my last day to try their homemade ice-cream. Wide variety and the popular ones are turrón and nata premium which I chose. The tub costs €3.95 and it came with the mini ice-cream cones. Big portion, rich flavours and smooth texture....

Sadly this used to be a 5 star review but no longer. Mornings are okay but afternoons not so good. You can wait 5, 10, 15 minutes and end up leaving. We are not all tourists and we often grab a coffee before work. But like many businesses in Alicante tourists are more important than residents who give business 12 months a year.
