Unfortunately myself and my girlfriend were looking for a delicious tapas experience and we did not get it. Otto approached us while we were looking quietly at the menu. He was excited and enthusiastic, but our experience was not good here. We wanted a mojito and the restaurant had ran out? Then after a 15 minute wait we ordered the tapas dishes. My girlfriend ordered calamari and again we were told this had run out due to an order arriving today but it was not suitable and had to be sent back. I understand that during busy times stock can run low and run out, however, we could have easily went next door to Casablanca if we had known - which is where we wanted to go in the first instance. I also wanted to order two gambas dishes and was told there was only one left. To finish off the experience, the bread was forgotten whilst we waited for 5 minutes. The bread was supposed to arrive with the gambas and the Andalusian soup. The waiter seemed to forget the bread order and gave it to another table. We had to...
Read moreWe visited La Fábrica every evening during our stay in Alicante to enjoy an apéro – and for good reason! The bar is located slightly away from the hustle and bustle, which makes the atmosphere pleasantly calm and relaxing.
The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us excellent recommendations for tapas. The Serrano ham, in particular, was a real highlight – delicious and of top-notch quality.
From 5 PM to 7 PM, they have a daily Happy Hour, which we took advantage of to try various cocktails. All the drinks were not only delicious but also prepared with great attention to detail. You can tell the bartender takes pride in their craft and focuses on quality.
La Fábrica is a true hidden gem in Alicante, and we can only highly...

Croquetas were literally potatoes and cheese, no jamón. Four for €9.50? The fried anchovies were dry and felt old. The square was nice but we were seated round the corner after threatening to leave because of the wait, where the drains really smelt bad. Server was nice with the kids. None of the wait staff were Spanish so they weren't embarrassed to serve pretty poor food. Pushy about paying in cash (only place in Alicante which objected to card) and about Google reviews which probably has an impact on the rating. Opportunistic vibes...
