October 2021.
We just left the restaurant and the young waitress was very nice and welcoming! We took 2 menu at 22€ each and it was overall good.
The place is quite authentic and has a nice atmosphere, a little bit further from others touristic restaurants BUT i won’t recommend this place for a BIG NO : the old blond waitress who smoke is rude, unfriendly and I truly believe she is racist. We left with this very unpleasant feeling that we were not welcomed. During the meal she had to serve us and she seemed very bothered to do so. We asked the tab and she ignored us for 5 whole minutes while we were just standing near her. We watched her do nothing and discuss (so nicely and with so much warm in her attitude) with the only other clients in the restaurant. She couldn’t even look at us or give us our tab, she had to go downstairs and fetch her colleague (who was very nice and upped the grade of this establishment) to give us our tab. No goodbye, not a look from the racist waitress as we were completely invisible for her.
Please do not bother to reply if you are planning to minimize our experience. As women of color, we lived enough racist experiences to recognize racist people.
Note that I am completely not used to write this kind of comments, but I can’t stand this kind of shitty attitude, I regret not speaking up when we were still there as we were speechless and trying to understand what we did wrong. I truly hope that we will be the last to leave this place with this awful feeling that only minorities might understand.
To the racist waitress : travel more and open your mind to the world, you might be less cranky when serving tourists of colors.
N.B: the bread and tomato purée served is not free, and it is not indicated or told. N.B 2: finishing on a nice note as I took nice pictures, here’s the...

In late November, my wife and I had the distinct pleasure of dining at Taberna Iberica in Alicante. Although some time has passed since our visit, the outstanding experience we had compels me to share our story.
Upon entering Taberna Iberica, we were immediately struck by the warm and professional welcome from the staff. They made us feel valued and appreciated from the first moment, setting the stage for a remarkable evening.
The centerpiece of our meal was the exquisitely prepared meat, cooked 'alla brace' – a traditional Italian method involving coals. This cooking style infused the meat with a unique, smoky flavor that was both rich and satisfying. The presentation of each dish was a visual feast, clearly crafted with attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
What truly distinguished Taberna Iberica, however, was the impeccable service. The staff were not only attentive but genuinely caring, making sure every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Their recommendations were thoughtful and their friendly manner added a special, personal touch to our meal.
Reflecting back on our visit to Taberna Iberica, I regret not having written this review sooner to commend their extraordinary service and culinary delights. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a top-tier dining experience in Alicante. We eagerly anticipate our next...

Unfortunately, my friends and I were completely taken advantage of at this restaurant. We ordered a paella, which on the menu cost €20, and we ended up being charged €48. The reason behind this? Apparently because there were three of us, they had to charge us the price of four people - despite being given a portion barely big enough for three people. Make the maths make sense. If there are three people, and the dish for 2 costs €20, then we should be paying maximum €30.
Furthermore, be advised that you will need to pay €2.50 per person for use of tablecloth and plates. Maybe bring your own should you decide to eat at this restaurant.
The location isn’t nice - if you are sat by the window you will have to deal with people smoking weed outside and the smell of that coming in through the window whilst you’re eating. And lots of noise from various suspicious looking people.
If all of that isn’t bad enough, be prepared to have to deal with extremely rude, passive aggressive staff, who will take advantage of you because you are not Spanish, despite the fact you speak Spanish. The rest of the 1* reviews speak for themselves - as well as the rude responses from the staff.
I’ve attached pictures to show that we did indeed eat in this restaurant, before the staff try to respond saying we must’ve been eating elsewhere, as he did for...
